Didn't Nintendo have a Robot attachment that would pick up and move things? What was the deal with that? Oh and the NES Advantage controller (with the joystick) why was that thing so big, I mean it was the size of a Pizza box.

Yep, it was called R.O.B.

Some other favorites of mine were.
Mega Man 4
Load Runner
Ring King
Kung Fu
Festers Quest
Metal Gear
Castlevania

Ooh liked me some Mega Man 1 or 2 or whatever. I only smashed two TV screens trying to get to the damn friggen top. Isn't Atari still the only game out there? Ping Pong anyone? Anyone?

I kinda liked Tetris when it came out. Was that Atari too?

Barry Sanders was sick in that game....it was almost cheating if you got the Lions.

One of the best Christmas presents I ever received. I would max Barry out at 4095 rushing yards about midway through the season and then start passing him the ball. Jerry Ball was a monster at pass rushing as well.

Also have to give props to the pause music from Battletoads. Makes me smile just thinking about it.

Baseball Stars...create your own team, win cash for victories, pay for player upgrades...WAY ahead of its time.

It's also tough to beat Tecmo Bowl. Last time I played I scored a TD in the Tecmo Super Bowl with Walter Payton...that's what I call righting a wrong.

I remember the build up to Tecmo Super Bowl in Nintendo Power and such... I just had to have that game... NOW!!!

So I was getting it for X Mas and knew it and as soon as the parents put it under the tree wrapped (our tradition was and still is put the presents under when you buy them and open everything on X mas eve) I waited for my parents to go to work... surgically opened the present I thought was STB (was right) replaced the game cartridge with some older game I never played as to not mess with the weight of the present, retaped it perfectly... and played that sucker for hours while my parents were at work leading up to X Mas...

;)

Digging up an old thread as I think it is most appropriate place.

Nintendo is relaunching the NES for $60 in tiny adorable form

That's pretty cool. I hope they come with a built in 72 pin adapter. People are nostalgic for playing NES, not spending 15 minutes blowing in the games and system to get them to work.

They absolutely need this... without a way of playing to old carts I think it's cool, but I'll pass.

Wait, you can't put your carts in this? That's a bad move IMO.

I don't know.. I don't think so, the entire system looks, judging from the pictures, to be about the size of the old carts...

Good point. I just realized the scale of the guy holding it in his hand. Unless that's a giant they don't appear as if they'd fit, haha.

An adapter that you plug into the new deck would be amazing.

I thought the Nightmare on Elm Street was actually a very good game... way ahead of it's time.

Liked Jaws also.

I'm certainly not a video game guy but would buy one of these. My buddies and I would might enjoy some old school stuff every now and then.
