This is why the Browns will be cellar dwellers for the foreseeable future. Sure, let's get Delhomme in here. A guy who has had players to throw to and hand the ball of to and could never do anything with the talent he had around him. And while we're at it, lets throw Quinn under the bus (guy who loves the city of Cleveland, has loved the Browns since an early age), Brady has been dealt one of the shittier hands as far as key position players that I have ever seen. When you're key receiver is Massaquai (sp?), you are in for a long season.

I am a lifelong Browns fan, but I hope that the Browns do get rid of Quinn, for Quinn's sake. Put the kid out of his misery and let him thrive in another system, in another city. I am getting to the point where I can't even stand to watch the Browns anymore. I just watched to see Brady play, but he definitely got the shitty end of the stick.
Cleveland is a joke!

Go Cavs!!

Cleveland is hardly Quinns problem. He just isn't a good QB.

OK. Name me one quarterback that would have thrived in the Cleveland system the past 2 years. Please.....I'll wait.......

Peyton Manning would look like Turd Ferguson behind center in a Brown's uniform during this time. Brady never got a chance. Hell, toward middle to end of the season, Mangini took the ball out of his hands and put it in Cribb's hands in the wildcat offense (which was successful and their only source of offense until Harrison arrived to save the day). Is it because Brady was a bad quarterback or more that he had no O-line, running game, or playmaking receivers to throw the ball to.

Look at most of the games in which BQ threw an interception. I would say that a good majority of those were catchable balls and his teammates let him down.

So, I guess you are right, he is just a shit bag of a quarterback and does deserve how he got treated. Give em a clipboard, teach him the hand signals, and screw Brady Quinn. He sucks. (Insert sarcasm font)

irishnd31 is right, although I would never call Peyton Manning "turd ferguson" (Colts fan bias). Besides aren't your Oakland Raiders the experts on piss poor quarterbacking?

No, the Raiders are the experts in how to run an organization into the ground. Piss-poor quaterbacking is more JaMarcus Russell's terroritory. There's a slight, but significant difference.:)

Lane Kiffin didn't want him when he was coaching there but your wacky owner insisted..

There is a reason that Quinn wasn't given a chance. And now that Holmgren wants him out period, I think it stands to reason that he is going to be a career backup at best.

Tell you what, when he starts passing for 4000 yards and 25 TDs a year you let me know. I won't be holding my breath.

Maybe Holmgren wants someone to toss balls at practice to his defense....because ole Jake has a penchant for throwing perfectly thrown balls....to the defense

I want to see Quinn stay more out of wishful thinking than anything... but I agree with Phork for the most part... The Browns are a trainwreck but have you guys actually watched Quinn during hispro career???.... the guy has trouble coming within ten feet of an open reciever... his accuracy has gone down the drain andhe makes poor choices wih the ball... that's not all Brady but it sure as hell is not all the players arond him either... he IS part of the problem, can't really cry foul here.

I agree, I don't think Quinn is a starting NFL QB.

Yeah, he has crap around him, but he hasn't really shown ANY flashes of potential.
And if the Browns try to throw over 20 yards with him at QB...watch out.

Done deal.... Delhomme signed a 2 year deal tonight with the Browns. Brady's on the move....and I no longer have a team. I'm sick and tired of following a team with no freaking direction whatsoever. Can't say as a qb trio of Seneca Wallace, Jake Delhomme and....I'm so pissed right now, I can't even think of the third qb's name gives me any reason to be excited.

Brett Ratliff....that's who I'm missing.

Where Brady goes, I'll follow. Can't take anymore stupidity from this POS franchise which is only a shell of its former self.

Who said anything about starting, Kreskin??? I'm pretty sure I said I was simply done with a team who couldn't find their own a$$ with both hands...but nice attempt at trying to be funny. Try harder next time.

Well, the Sipe and Kosar eras were pretty good, but that organization moved to Baltimore. Which has won a Super Bowl since moving out of Cleveland. If I were to bet on who had a better chance of turning the Browns around, Holmgren or Quinn, I wouldn't bet on Quinn. The previous posters have chronicled the reasons why, no need to repeat them here. At least Holmgren has some record of being a winner...as good a place as any to start.

HCTI I feel you. I'm not excited about the move at all. Brady never got a chance in Cleveland. I'm only 22 and I'm sick of this losing team. I want to know the Browns teams that my Dad and Uncle's talk about, when they use to be good.

But in Mike we have to trust and i really hope if Brady is sent to another team, that he doesn't burn us

I wasn't born for the '64 run, but wow....was the mid to late 80's a hell of a lot of fun as a teenager. Ahhhhh...memories. :)

Gets a fresh start in Denver with solid weapons around him and runs a offense he is familiar with. Hope he gets it done

Hater versus homer...the eternal debate.

He should have a chance to start...Orton and Sims not exactly setting the league on fire.

I guess Cleveland had to sweeten the deal and threw in a case of PBR and a pack of Slim Jims.

That's the thing about hope...its free. Like to bet any money that Brady ends up in the HOF? Wins two SBs? Then I'll know the extent of your conviction.

HOF? Come on man. There is a point, and it is fairly quickly with QBs, that you just know that the have "it". Sadly Quinn does not have "it". Regardless of talent in Cleveland he really showed no flashes of being any where near "the man".
