Westerman has the offers from the big dawgs except OSU and Texas. Supposedly ND's #1 OL target. ND's in play.

Wasnt Gerell Robinson from Chandler as well?

WR who wanted to commit to ND in 08 but Deion Walker committed first so he couldnt?

That would be at least some sort of a ND connection.

That may be grasping at straws a bit - unless I missed the sarcasm font.

No not really. It just means that our university has already been there and our university has been advertised to some extent there. It doesnt mean Kelly went there and sat down and had a heart to heart with the kid yet or anything, but some of Weis' staff very well may have talked to him for a bit about the university.

After looking it up, Robinson was from Chandler, AZ. He went to Hamilton HS, the same HS as this kid. He committed to Arizona State, only after Deion committed here. Our university has been in his HS. Thats a good thing.

Talk to Texas fans who follow recruiting, and they say he is a huge TX lean. Talk to SC fans, and they say he used to love SC when Pete was there; now half of them say he's a huge TX lean, and others say he'll be at SC. I remember reading about him last year and his dad was really excited about SC. Hopefully what you guys are saying is true, that there is no leader and that ND is in play. Personally I'm not too excited about our prospects...

Picked up an offer at Texas Jr Day. UTX got 3 OLine commits from Jr Day.

Was at USC's practice yesterday. Still looks to be a TX-SC battle. I haven't heard anything about ND with him...

Expected. That's 6 O-linemen for TX!

Glad it's not SC though! The great thing is that he just visited SC this Easter weekend...and promptly came home and committed to TX LOL...

In an interview at the UA practices he does not sound solid with Texas and is taking visits. Talked about going to USC and then "others". He is not happy that the O line coach at Texas left.

Does ND have any chance with this guy?

I would have to imagine no, if he drops Texas the only place I can see him going is USC, maybe a darkhorse being Florida depending on where the Texas assistants end up

That's actually old news...he's already visited Auburn and had a great time. I'd say Auburn leads for him right now over anyone. SC stands a chance which makes me want to puke, but he was in good with the old staff, esp Pete Carroll. He'd get time early either there or TX.

And no, ND is not in it at all.

EDIT: Whoops, nevermind...he just said today that he's down to SC and TX. Hopefully TX hires a great O-line coach (when theirs retired, he and his pops were not happy), and keeps him. If he goes to SC, then I hope he enjoys 4 yrs of sanctions and 4 yrs of losing to Kelly...

I wonder what espn will have to say about this...o yeah, nothing. They have the rights for the sec too.

Maybe if the NCAA will not step up and get a playoff going, given enough time, espn may have bought enough of the college landscape to have they own playoff.
