A use for the Green Jerseys

I know ND is planning on using one home game a year for these in-state recruiting promotions. Why not wear the green jerseys at those games? San Antonio this year(wazzou), YAnkee Stadium next year....2011, 2012, etc.

The green jerseys are strange for me; as much as I like them, as I think most fans do, I associate the green jerseys with 'probably a loss'. For this reason, I sometimes kinda cringe when I hear they are wearing the greenies for a big game. I was glad to hear that they didnt wear them for USC this year, and it was actually during the USC game that I thought of wearing the greenies for these 'road' home games.

Thoughts?

I still think Weis is saving them for the USC game next year and he's going to bust out the "away greens" with the green numbers and socks

ND has lost more games, big or small, in blue jerseys than in green.

That is a great idea. I think the greens have lost some of their luster as being good luck for big games. Bringing them out in those road "home" games would be great for the recruits as well as alumni.

I'm just petrified to see them anymore. To many losses associated with them in recent years. I think it would be good to wear them for the "blowout" games, that would help to cure my stigma.

And how do you propose curing the Blue stigma?

We aren't losing in green because of the color of the jerseys. The high amount of losses in green is mostly due to those games being against good opponents.

I think after a few plays or maybe a quarter, any perceived motivational effect on either team has worn off anyway.

Personally I think Charlie should go green all next year. We are due for a uniform change soon anyway. It would be a statement that this ND team is different, that the 20 year period of mediocre football is over.

ND is back. Our uniforms have barely changed since holtz left. Time to shake things up.

I have no problem with the blue jerseys. Yes we lose with them on as well, but as was said, the quality opponents we play with the green jerseys is what accounts for the losses. I absolutely do not think it has anything to do with the green jerseys that we are losing, I just am uncomfortable and have a nervous feeling when I see them anymore.

Gold Jerseys!

Love it but still falls under the same category. I hate the green Jerseys for several reasons. The main being, & somebody said something to the effect that they are meant to inspire & motivate the team but in my opinion it has an adverse effect. It motivates our opponent. Gives them all the more reason to want to beat us.

TDHeysus. I love that idea. How awesome would it be to see the Irish storm Yankee stadium in the Greens
