Under Armour All-American Tai-ler Jones (Gainesville, Ga.) had 10 catches for 240 yards and three touchdowns receiving and had a 62-yard fumble return for a touchdown in a 55-12 win against North Hall (Hall County, Ga.). Jones also had a 55-yard punt return for a touchdown called back because of penalty, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports.
I'm still solid to Stanford, and just going to these other schools, it just gives me the opportunity to make sure I'm exhausting all measures with this decision. I'm going to be taking a more in-depth look, campus life, the surroundings and a closer look at how the players look at the coaches, and how they think they prepare them, and how prepared they think they'll be for the next level after four or five years.
i read that notredame has a strong chance of getting him
<!-- end free preview text -->A source familiar with the recruitment of Under Armour All-American receiver Tai-ler Jones (Gainesville, Ga./Gainesville) says that it would not be surprising if Notre Dame turned the Stanford commit. Jones is visiting South Bend officially this weekend, where he will take in the Irish home game with Southern California.
That's not to say this is a done deal because Jones would not have committed to the Cardinal to begin with had he not believed that was the best place for him, but you've got Notre Dame having a good season, putting up all sorts of passing yards and then there's the fact that his father, Andre Jones, was a member of the 1988 national championship team. That's a lot working in favor of the Irish.
Regardless of what school ends up with Jones, it will be getting a smooth receiver with good hands and deceptive speed that also runs excellent routes. He's a great fit in any offensive system he chooses, but you have to like the possibilities playing in the systems of the Cardinal and the Irish.
Had a real good time at ND and was able to get a different perspective on the school and the players. Was hosted by Cierre Wood and had nothing but good things to say about him. Says that Stanford is still #1 and will visit them on Nov 7
