1-1 vs USC

I think he is referencing the head to head vs SC between Weis and Harbaugh. With Harbaugh having the only victory over the condoms.

Stanford worries me because they pound the football. Until we stop getting blown off the ball, they will be a thorn in the side.

I don't think we'll be getting blown off of the ball much longer. We finally have some beef on the DL in the likes of a few 300 pounders, and I was very impressed with what Hafis did this spring, let's hope he continues to improve.

Stanford Football Recruiting 2010 - ESPN

Per ISD in addition to the previously reported Official to ND for the USC game, Jones is planning an Official to Oregon. He'll also make an Unofficial to Bama for the UTN game. He'll also visit AUB and make an Official to Stanford before deciding.

I'm still solid to Stanford, and just going to these other schools, it just gives me the opportunity to make sure I'm exhausting all measures with this decision. I'm going to be taking a more in-depth look, campus life, the surroundings and a closer look at how the players look at the coaches, and how they think they prepare them, and how prepared they think they'll be for the next level after four or five years.

A source familiar with the recruitment of Under Armour All-American receiver Tai-ler Jones (Gainesville, Ga./Gainesville) says that it would not be surprising if Notre Dame turned the Stanford commit. Jones is visiting South Bend officially this weekend, where he will take in the Irish home game with Southern California.
That's not to say this is a done deal because Jones would not have committed to the Cardinal to begin with had he not believed that was the best place for him, but you've got Notre Dame having a good season, putting up all sorts of passing yards and then there's the fact that his father, Andre Jones, was a member of the 1988 national championship team. That's a lot working in favor of the Irish.
Regardless of what school ends up with Jones, it will be getting a smooth receiver with good hands and deceptive speed that also runs excellent routes. He's a great fit in any offensive system he chooses, but you have to like the possibilities playing in the systems of the Cardinal and the Irish.

Had a real good time at ND and was able to get a different perspective on the school and the players. Was hosted by Cierre Wood and had nothing but good things to say about him. Says that Stanford is still #1 and will visit them on Nov 7

He gushed about his visit to ISD. Said ND gave him a whole lot to think about. He went on and on about how great everything was, and how he got the entire prospective on everything ND had to offer this time as opposed to his unofficials. Wiltfong got a great feeling after talking to him...

Really? Wow. I think he and his dad have developed a strong relationship with Wiltfong, so maybe he's a bit more open with ISD. He definitely gave me the impression that he could flip. And with that amazing atmosphere, he'll have that in his mind when he takes his official to Stanford for the ND game. That place is a morgue compared to the ND/SC game. He also indicated that he might not even take his scheduled OV to 'Bama next week, nor to Oregon in November...
