I do put a lot of stock in thinking that Sark knew USC better than Carroll does. He practiced his usc offenses against usc's defense - he knew usc's offense better than Carroll - the supposed defensive guru.

FYI - the logo of the husky that you are dissing, we at UW hate it too. It is actually not our logo anymore the W is our logo right now. That damn weasel looking thing was brought in under Neuheisel and we are finally getting rid of it. The thing is a remnant of the worst times of UW.

I think ND needs to contain, but not necessarily stop, Locker and we should be able to win the foot race. Of course, if we can lock him down, great. But I know he is an exceptional athlete. All I hear is that he is the best athlete in the PAC-10.

I know it wont be THAT easy, but that is my general thought going into the game.

My predominate thought is .....how is the defense going to play?

I think Locker is dangerous, but for some reason I think the defense will get 2 to 3 picks this game, and seal it early into the 3rd quarter. It's just a gut feeling. My prediciton.............PAIN!

Not unless several teams in the 16-25 range lose to allow several "honarable mention" teams to move up into the top 25. IMO it will take a win against UW AND U$C for the Irish to break the top 25.

a few items to think about before kickoff:

1) we know the weather should be rainy.

2) ND has been running the ball pretty well all year.

3) UW has been struggling to stop the run

4) look for a heavy dose of run plays from charlie. between armando, robert, even jonas, and whatever they do in leprecat, it might be a pound it week given the opponent and weather

ND has had success all year and more runs eat up clock and keep locker off the field. if UW ends up putting 8 in the box and trusting that young secondary in man coverage, that's when we can expect a tate/ rudolph/ whomever big play in the air to keep them honest
