can MSU's 'power running game' score enough points to keep up with JC and the offense? I dont think so..

ND by 17

no doubt they will be able to run the ball, but can they punch it in the endzone enough to keep up?

"FYI" We haven't beat MSU at home since the Lou Holtz era..... I say it's time to stop losing too these guys in our backyard.......... I do think it will be close, just like the Michigan game.

We are staying at the Treasure Bay Casino. Just got off the phone with them and they said they will have every game on in the Pirate's Bay Bar. I almost thought what you said about staying in the room and having to watch it was going to be a reality.

It's time we beat these guys at home!!!!!

This is SEC land!

He's allowed to watch the game in public but he's not allowed to talk about it in public unless ND is trailing.

In Mississippi, there's a good chance of catching this "Big" game on tv. What might surprise you, however, if you're watching in a public venue, how few others will be paying any attention. Down in that part of the country, where the boys play real football, there's about as much interest in the likes of teams like ours, or MSU, as, say, a pretty good high school game. We're just not on their radar because, compared to teams like Ole Miss, LSU, Florida, or Alabama, we are meaningless....just don't fit on the natioal stage, except in the minds of sportswriters, who still are romantically involved with our "legend" from the distant past. We'll probably squeak by MSU, who suck worse than we do, and then pat ourselves mightily on the back and resume our pretensions with respect to spurious national rankings, but, down there, they won't be impressed.....they know where real bruising football is played, and laugh when they see our fluffy schedule. Stanford? UConn? BC? Navy? They just roll their collective eyes.

He wrote it because he's a troll Neutered. Or just about as uninformed 'ND fan' as you'll find. Just go look at his 14 posts. He only comes back after losses. Like midwestguy, he seems to revel in our losses. Also, like midwestguy, he points to CW's weight as a way to rip on him and the team. He's juvenile at best. Here's what he said the day before the Hawaii game:

We ought to be embarrased about having accepted any bowl bid. This decision was only about one thing: money. I never root against us, but I hope we lose this one....just too humiliating to be playing at all.

He didn't come back until after the Michigan game. He's midwestguy part 2. He probably IS him LOL.

So let's talk about your SEC 'powerhouse' schedule. The Citadel, Charleston Southern, SE Louisiana, UAB, FL International, Chattanooga, Jackson St, Middle Tennessee, Missouri St, Troy, Tennessee Tech, Western Kentucky (nice ass-whooping there Kiffie...too bad UCLA went into your house and beat your asses the next week), Louisiana-Monroe.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Nice 'big boy football'. I mean, were Southwest Puerto Rico University and Pasadena City College not available? Sorry SEC Troll, I'll take BC (near BCS bound 2 years ago), Navy (always a bowl team and damn nearly beat OSU at the Shoe in week 1), Stanford (upset USC 2 years ago and a team on the rise) and UConn (brand new program who has been to 2 straight bowl games) as our "fluff games" any day of the week over your JV scrimmages. Keep avoiding real teams like the plague, and then claim yourselves as the best. I love it.

Oh, and let me address your argument before you give it: "You can't te;; me I'm not a fan. I love ND. I just want what's best for this university, and the fatty's not it."

OK, so why aren't you here after the wins. Why weren't you bitching after the Hawaii game? Why weren't you botching on NSD? Why weren't you bitching after the Nevada game? We had missed tackles then. We still had CW as the coach. Why not just show up? Why are you all of a sudden a 'realist' only when it convienences you? Why not come and argue when the other side might have the upper hand? Nope, you only come when you might have the upper hand, like a true (blank). Show after we win, and I have no problem saying you were right. But you only have the balls to show your face when things are going bad. And it's an epic FAIL...

Damn it guys the closer it gets to this game, the tighter then knot in my stomach. I think it is close and it comes down to who has the ball last. I hope I am so wrong and we magically get a front seven that can stop the run. The Irish really need a big win here to shut people up for a week! ND 24 MSU 21 or defense actually shows up ND 42 MSU 10.

I addressed your bogus "fluffy" schedule comment in another thread. I noticed rather than respond with any substance to support your previous spurious comments you just move on to a new thread and repeat the spurious comments.

Here's your post and my response.

Absolutely true that this season is NOT lost....just look at our fluffy schedule - while we play teams like BC, UCONN, Wash State, etc., (real powerhouses), and teams like, say LSU are playing the likes of Florida, Alabama and Mississippi, how can we even think our season might be lost? We've got a good chance to come out of the season with only maybe four losses against the titans we're playing, which will probably earn us a bowl bid!

Yes, LSU has decent schedule, Phil Steele ranks it the 21st toughest for '09 while Steele ranks ND way, way down at #36th toughest (3 spots ahead of OSU and 4 spots ahead of Texas).

As for those SEC powerhouses:

UF #34 (that's 2 spots ahead of our "fluffy schedule"!)

Bama #68 (that's 32 spots fluffier then ND!)

Mississippi #77 (is that a fluffernutter schedule?)

Oh, and Kentucky who's getting poll votes have the #52 schedule.

IMO, this is a huge game for the future of CW and more importantly ND football as a whole.

CW has a lousy record against MS, and if the Spartans win this one, you can expect a Spartan Flag centre field!

That won't and can't be tolerated, I'm not suggesting a bench clearence or anything of the sort, I'm wanting to see us do our talking between the whistles etc.

Goodluck Charlie, and Go Irish!

Just like last time at center field.... oh wait, they weren't smart enough to find center field. They could only get to the 35... ha.

Last night on the Weather Channel the weatherman gave a report on Saturday's South Bend forecast. I was impressed to see ND being singled out til the weatherman said,

... hopefully Notre Dame will be able to get their first win of the season!

Apparently Mark May does have a fan.

Staying up? Dude, it's 7 in the morning, if you're awake you're awake, no? I'll be with you for another hour, then I get my Saturday morning exercise (soccer - stop laughing!!! great cardio, so instead of gaining 10 pounds today w/ all the beer, I'll only gain 7 LOL), shower and ready for game time...

I won't laugh at soccer if you won't laugh at my Wild Turkey aerobics.

My girl and I almost had some issues after the scUM game last week, I promised her a big win this time.

Today is going to be a great day.

We will win today 38 - 17. The after the game my wife will go into labor and our second son will be born or that's at least how I want it to happen. She's due next week and I have been telling her for the past two Saturdays that she has to wait until after the game.

GO IRISH!!!!
