I was going to tally that up, but I'm too lazy. Good find. This speaks volumes about what the team will be like in a few years.

The scoring stats are a little miss leading considering Charlie gave the ball to Thomas at the goal line after not touching the ball the whole drive.

That's very interesting. ND has more freshman contributing than I knew. Maybe the cabinet isn't so emtpy in South Bend. I now understand the optimisim.

Those look like some dangerous numbers, especaially once '09 gets here.

Another stat to look at is the defensive stats. With Brian Smith, Kerry Neal, Ian Williams and Darrin Walls all playing significant roles, how many tackles does this foursome of underclassmen account for???? I heard mention that Ian himself is over 30 tackles on the season in just part time duty. That speaks volumes. I just looked up the stats and we have like 7 freshman and sophmores with almost 20 tackles or more apiece. That is huge for that many underclassmen to be such big contributors.

Good stuff. It's a strong point and doesn't even take into account the players with a 5th year of eligibility...like Sharpley

Defensive stats look like this for the total tackles over the games we have played thus far.

5th year seniors: 334

Seniors: 156

Juniors: 156

Sophmores: 99

Freshman: 77

I hope I'm correct on the fith year seniors. I have Zibby, Laws, Brockington, Wooden, and Stephenson as the five fifth year seniors. If these are not right, let me know and I'll post revised stats.

Excluding the second question, why do ut fans hate ND so much. I could understand if they played on an regular basis, but they hardly play each other.
