Tariff money is money we paid that we get back. Covid and its Fauci mandates made NM close businesses and close my industry for 16 months. Totally not the same. We went from about $2 million in sales per year to $600k in 16 months. He screws up… move on. lol. 😂

Funny - during the hearing they pointed out how Fauci, in his Dear Diary, was notified of the 1 million kids who were not getting measles vaccines b/c of shutdowns. It was pointed out how measles is more lethal to kids than Covid19. 1) measles is very low risk to healthy children, just ask The Brady Bunch, 2) this highlights how incredibly small C19 risk was to children and we can't have mass hysteria without mom's fearing for their kids' lives. 3) His fame was more important than 70 million children.

C19 is not, and never was a vaccine. Its OK, I know this hurts your ego to admit. MMR is a vaccine. This is why you don't see MILLIONS of cases of measles, mumps and rubella like you saw MILLIONS of cases of Covid amongst the "vaccinated".

Covid became a political football. Does NM or any other blue state completely shut down their states if we had a democratic president in office? Highly doubt it. And their excuse was Fauci from the shut down to the vaccine mandates.

Yes, pandemic disruptions reduced routine childhood vaccinations in many places, and public health experts, including Fauci, were aware and concerned about that because lower MMR coverage increases the risk of measles outbreaks. That's a real consequence of the pandemic and the response to it.

While children generally had much lower risk than older adults to Covid, thousands were hospitalized, some died, and others developed complications like MIS-C or long COVID. Public health decisions had to weigh multiple risks, not just one.

COVID vaccines were always intended primarily to reduce severe illness, hospitalization, and death. Early on they also reduced infection and transmission, but as the virus evolved that protection against infection became less durable. Many vaccines don't provide sterilizing immunity, they reduce the likelihood or severity of disease rather than preventing every infection.

I also don't think it's fair to reduce complex policy decisions to "his fame was more important than 70 million children." That's a serious accusation, and I'd want strong evidence before accepting it.

We can criticize specific pandemic policies, including school closures or how routine vaccinations were disrupted, without rewriting what COVID vaccines were designed to do or overstating either disease.

I think “learn and move on” is easy to say when the loss wasn’t that big. For most they got to work from home or got sent home with no work or maybe had to deal with stupid masking or covid rules. We lost $millions and others like me did as well. Learn and move on is harder pill to swallow and ignorant to actual loss due to those stupid policies.
