Old Man Mike, I deserved that one. My apologies. I was a bit upset. I have an uncle born and bred in WV and I don't really believe that about the state.

And my apologies to the Ohioans on here as well. That was a terrible story to call out where those poor kids were the victims.


In re: to the latest ICE incident in Maine, even more has come out in the last few hours and that story is now one of "we needed to do it for public safety" - Fuck that and fuck ICE - They are a rogue agency whose officers are untrained and trigger happy, and who operate with impunity. That's a fact. Enough said.

It’s funny you shit on West Virginia, where it’s actually illegal, whereas it is not illegal and a more common practice in all of Latin America. And in the Muslim world it’s literally like greater than 1/3 and greater than 1/2 if all marriages are cousin fuckers

As to West Virginia, the politics of the state has been horrible -- maybe as bad as any in the country -- and overall the poverty (loss of jobs in Coal, and heavy chemicals industry,) is really bad, which drives the less thoughtful citizens to clowns like Trump (even though he does nothing but act tough "for" them.) But, on the personal level, when you are simply with the people, looking at those Great Green Hills, or playing in a softball tournament and immersed in the camaraderie, or just seeing the human kindness of your neighbors ... well, Country Roads Take Me Home.

This ICE thing is terrible. Everyone here illegally should self deport immediately for their own safety. Anyone who is compassionate should donate to self deportation funds ASAP - we have to save these victims!

Why are you interested in appeasing people illegally in our country? If you cared you would help them self deport before anyone else gets hurt. Its just terrible these selfish people put us through all of this.

The Colombian national killed by ICE had legal status to work in the US and was not the subject of an arrest warrant.

Is it really an issue of legality you’re concerned with? Or, is it a brown issue?

You can say “Biden was too lenient in his immigration policy and I would like to see stronger enforcement. But, masked federal agents patrolling neighborhoods and killing people during questionable escalations doesn’t seem very American”

It doesn’t have to be an either/or proposition.

This 👆 and... We can't change the past at this point; and the border has been sealed air tight since early 2025.

So now we're going to expel hard-working immigrants with legal rights to work and causing no trouble with the law and being productive, including a large amount of immigrants who have been in this country way before Biden was ever President.

Sure, let's deport all the immigrants with serious criminal records, especially the violent ones.

But this admin is using this pretext to do much more than that and for much more sinister reasons that serve their interest to cleanse the country of brown and black people and to help them stay in power, fair and free elections be damned.

He was talking about admins not changing their reckless behaviors. Seemed relevant. Arsonists critiquing the firefighters.

ICE has a job to do. Scan the county inmate roster in a non sanctuary and see how many are on immigration holds. It's insane. Enforcing laws is tougher in states that intentionally make it harder to do so and immigrants creating incidents doesn't change the necessity for ICE to do its job.
