Rare case of safety to CB transition, ND likes him at CB too(this thread does exist)
Haven’t seen anyone on the ND beat still, but according to LSU site, LSU is recruiting him as a CB. He also plans to exclusively play CB for his senior year of HS.
It happens in HS quite a bit with undersized Safeties wanting to get accustomed to their presumed college positionRare case of safety to CB transition, ND likes him at CB too
just watched his highlights again. I hate to get my hopes up. I see some Brauntae Johnson in James' game. Just a ridiculous athlete.On3 makes it seem like Notre Dame has a very good chance to flip him
They will still bitch... no italicsLol if we end up with 4 top 150 DBs after all the bitching people were doing ab safety recruiting
He went from unranked on 247 to #87 nationally.
Nobody seems to know just that it's a 3 way battle with Texas, ND, LSU and seemingly in that order.Interesting, the II podcast made is seem like it was a stretch...
Maybe I am mistaken, but it seems like this one is all over the place
I really hope we do end up continuing to pursue all three of these positions. Though it may be tough with the boards essentially starting from scratch. We’ll have 6 months to find another safety, LB (assuming we get Roman), and WR
Trending to LSU
I see Alston as a field corner not a nickel.I still think he is a CB anyways. We still need to see how the secondary evolves position wise. 2028 and on:
CB
Mark Zackery
Jayden Sanders
Khary Adams
Chaston Smith
Xavier Hasan
Safety/Nickel
Brandon Logan
Ethan Long
Nick Reddish
Joey O’Brien
Zayden Gamble
John Gay
CB or Safety or Nickel
Dallas Golden
Ayden Pouncey
Ace Alston
I see Alston as a field corner not a nickel.
