This is where I am. Like I have no idea how much a guard like him is worth. But if you can take 10k to add to these guys, do that
I would assume Simien would cost 750k- 1 million. So if you can disperse that money elsewhere between other guys it makes sense. Would absolutely still take Albert if he wanted to commit though, but if he’s not expected in this class rn you have a lot of money left over to spend.

And a guy like Simien probally sits for 2 years because of the depth we have

If you have the ability to negotiate NIL annually and essentially cut underperformers like we did with Blair, than the risk seems pretty minimal in paying these kids.
I understand this. But at some point, some people are writing checks for these guys. If they pay for 27 Guard who never plays, will they be willing to pay for a 28 prospect if they feel their investment was a waste?

Just playing devil's advocate bc none of us know much about this new era!

I see it as they are enjoying the momentum of the university and the success in the field. I doubt they see it on a per person basis.

Trying to break it down a bit
Committing before June OV Season:
  • LvB
  • Folorunsho
  • Vaughn
  • Williams and Harrington (not to us)

Maybe pops before:
  • JJJ
  • Sesay
  • Parks (vibes Oregon)

OVs (time to close):
  • Gayles
  • Igwebuike
  • Henderson
  • Fox
  • Fakatou
  • Simien
  • Howard
  • Muhammed

I am missing some of the field/slot WRs who may visit, the Miami Safety, and Texas DB. Anyone else?

He did report that in his most recent updates. Oregon is definitely in the mix and the only real negative vibes reporters have at this point are that he hasn’t committed to ND yet despite being on campus 7-8 times.
probably wrong info bc of the source but interesting

I could have written that article, I have the same sources as Roberts (none). That guy is a joke, he completely just makes things up. He clearly does not have inside sources at Oregon, let alone ND. Who knows what will happen with Parks, but I will stick to the main sites for intel, not Roberts!

Visiting Notre Dame June 12th instead of Florida

Interesting. Similar build as Brayden Parks. Could be indicative of ND trying to ensure that they have a NG type body on the board should Parks be off to Oregon.

No longer visiting Notre Dame, visiting Michigan instead

This makes sense with what ND has on the board at DE. That said, I genuinely believe Emedobi is going to be a really good pass rusher for someone down the road.

You just can't take him over a potential DE trio of Sesay, O'Neil and Vaughn.

I agree. Wish they’d take him and stash him on the roster for a couple years to let him develop.

Trenton Yancey, Myles McAfee, Matthew Gregory, Brennen Lacey Jalyn Jones, Karnell James would be those guys. Others could possibly be Glover, Jailen Hill, Karon Eugene and IU commit Torbert.

Others to definitely shake the doors on who fit the "guys we usually don't get or profile for" are Royal, Sabb, Meredith, and Dobson.
