Ohio State, Alabama, Tennessee and many others are going to be involved with the four-star linebacker from Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit but now Notre Dame is in the mix and there could be a significant pull to South Bend. Henderson told Rivals national recruiting analyst John Garcia Jr. that he and his family are Catholic and so this offer definitely means a lot more as the four-star is now planning a trip to campus “soon.”

Per ISD sounds like ND did great job. He is talking to people and trying to get as much info as he can. (Interest is definitely there)

I didn’t not know that Mike Martin attended the same high as him.

This would be a very surprising addition. It still feels difficult to pull the top talent from Florida, Alabama and Ohio. We certainly get some talent but the top 5-8 position players in those states often go to the local state schools.

Yeah, we've had better luck with Berkely Prep than the two Catholic schools in Tampa, Jesuit and Tampa Catholic. Jesiut is a strong academic school and I can't remember the last guy we got from there.

They had Justin Thurman committed from Jesuit, but parted ways and he went to Kansas.

Henderson is my #1 realistic want at LB in the class, ahead of Feister.

With the combination of Freeman, Jean- Mary's recruiting chops down in Florida, and the school he's from, if ND is willing to make the financial commitment you have to think the Irish have a genuine chance here.

Answering my own question I think its Gary Godsey. In the twenty years since then over a dozen have gone to UF.

Agree 100%. His comments about ND a few months ago made me think we have a real shot to land him.

FWIW ND seemed to be out of it after Bullough left. He didn’t mention them in an interview in January. They’ve made up a crazy amount of ground to into his Top 5

IMO not just on Henderson but recruiting as a whole:

- ND really wasn’t pressing much in recruiting till just recently setting up spring and summer visits. A lot of “lost ground” is simply other schools, mostly new staffs, being far more aggressive in January/February than we felt the need to be.
