This whole thing smelled from the first second. I think his announcement was to provide cover going into the investigation to make it look political. He clearly didn't have a basis for his claims and knew the media would amplify anything that fed into their cause.

Even though I question his true intentions here, you know it’s bad when the reactionary right-wing Guardian of The Groypers is telling his followers that “The United States of America is an occupied nation” and “We have to put our differences aside and stand against the hostile occupation.”

Who can be sure what his real motivation is... I just find it interesting that a Gen Z Groyper leader who has said many racist and misogynist things, and who is pretty White Christian Nationalist, feels compelled to rally Americans, Black and White, Christian and otherwise, and men and women, to stand up to the current admin which he calls a "hostile occupation."

I said I find it interesting, not confusing. Yes, I guess I forgot how anti-semite - not just anti-zionist - he is, but still, it's interesting that he's calling for ALL Americans (of course, minus the Jews) to unite and put differences aside to be a unified front against the current "occupied" administration. His opposition is not unexpected as you say, but his calling for all other society segments to band together, despite his regularly-expressed racist and misogynist views, is not expected and is interesting.

It was the timing of the criticism. I don’t know what the appropriate length of time is, but seems there should be some. That includes Trump. He should have kept his mouth shut.
