Tottenham sacks Thomas Frank.

Roberto De Zerbi leaves Marseille by "mutual agreement."

The cautionary tale continues. I know these guys have to leave jobs like Brentford and Brighton, but how often it works out is hit or miss at best.

Wish Agent Frank could have stayed for two more weeks for the NLD...

Frank is a good manager, but Spurs have been sputtering for the last few years, and seem to have done nothing with the transfer money from Kane and Son.

He cashed in with a big club. We'll see what is next for him. He could probably get back to a mid tier EPL club and do very well if that's what he wants.

Spurs is becoming like Chelsea at this point. You can go there but the writing is on the wall when you look at how long their managers tend to last.

Like you said, understandable why you make a jump. Just so hard to maintain success at those lower clubs, and making a jump is a good financial decision too.

Would like to see him get a shot mid level or take a Championship side up.

Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, etc do their business very well. They get picked apart by the big guys and keep finding players to replace them. I think everyone knows the risk of going to work for Chelsea or Tottenham, but you have to assume there is never a right time or wrong time to make a move. It's the same in any sport I guess.

I’ve been closely following how the USMNT is doing in Europe this season and there’s really more players finding their top form of the career than we’ve ever had… ST remains the biggest concern/weakness. Pepi and Balogun being the likely top two choices isn’t exactly inspiring, but Malik Tillman on one wing, either Zendejas or Weah on the other, and move Pulisic inside to CAM is as dangerous of an attack the US has ever had

We have an embarrassment of riches in the midfield (I realize the quality still may not be elite, but I would say its above average). Between Tillman, McKennie, Tessman, Adams, Aaronson, Luna, Freeman, Berhalter, Cardoso, etc. Throw in Dest and Robinson if we play a 3 back/5 midfield formation. I'm sure I'm forgetting some on the list. I'm excited to see the team in the March window.

Left field comment here: I haven't felt that midfield is our biggest problem since I'm such a fan of Luna. (I believe Pocchetino, or however it's spelled, is too.) When Adams is healthy also required. SO .... the WAY left field thing is, I'd like McKennie right in the offense more --- Even at the NINE (if not, the eleven.) He is a bully boy explosive assassin in the box area -- often a wrecking ball. We don't score nearly enough. Get him and Pulisic both "at it" and maybe we will. Let Luna play the ten. (Let the high energy crazy man create the chaos that McKennie then rams home.)

Haji Wright is ripping it up with Coventry City. Poch should have him on the bus.

Not out of left field at all. Mckennie has been playing in attack with Juve and doing quite well, so it would not be a surprise to me for him to do the same with the national team.

Lord I hope so. When he is just playing the center of the midfield he sometimes nearly disappears and never really gets into the box. But if he feels like slamming in there (and staying there awhile) he becomes a chaos-creating menace. Let Luna and Pulisic bounce balls off the defenders and let McKennie react first and hardest to the ball.

Or ... as we used to say about a certain "shackled" ND DE ... "RELEASE THE KRAKEN!!!"
