So wait did this dude leave Michigan for Georgia Tech? He has quite an extensive résumé. He’s quite the job hopper.
Presumably he was replaced when Michigan brought in Whittingham? Pretty normal.
He spent most of the 2010s working on staffs for Charlie Strong (at Louisville, then Texas, then USF), so while that's three schools it's kind of one job. Then Michigan, Tennessee, back to Michigan.

Jean-Mary got his start as a GA at South Carolina under Lou Holtz for 2 years (I'm not counting a GA for S&C at Louisville)

I asked my buddy that's a michigan fan what his thoughts were on him and he said he's a good recruiter, but average coach. I'd actually prefer it the other way tbh
Hasn't Michigan had some pretty good linebackers the past few years? I could be wrong, but I thought the linebacker play was a strong point for the UM defense.

agree, but my only hesitation to buy into that too much is that he came in the year after they won the natty. not saying it was bad, but obviously i'd be much more upbeat about it if he was on that staff. Still not mad about it nonetheless. Prolly need look more at the 3 years before when he was at Tennessee.

Partidge, Henry, and BJM (in that order, probably) are all very good coaches and quite the haul by Freeman. It's very clear that Freeman knows that ND can recruit with the best of them anywhere, but to continue to elevate ND and return to being the standard in the sport, they need to get a stronger foothold in Florida. Seider, BJM, Partridge, and Henry all have major Florida roots/connections and have done quite well there throughout their careers.

Three guys born in Florida that know the area. I think ND's presence is going to be arrow up down there now, which isn't to say it was bad before, but they will definitely be able to open MORE doors.

I think their defenses were still pretty good. They just had historically shitty offense.

I just listened to Power Hour and not only did they not mention his name, Mike said he didnt expect anything to happen soon.
Considering those shows are taped in the morning and BJM was already technically with Ga Tech I'm sure it threw the beat for a loop which is great IMO lol

Charlie wants to recruit other areas besides just Florida. National recruiting is one of the things he was most excited about.

few things in life give me as much pleasure as when beat guys record podcasts then immediately after news breaks that makes their hours work instantly pointless

Several tweets about the status of Henry and BJM. Anyone have access to this?

Both have moved from top choice to expected hire. Nothing earth shattering. Henry will not have the Co-DC title but will probably have passing game coordinator title
