I'm not sure he's a TE. He looks like a huge receiver. In his tape, there were only two plays (1:20ish and 2:40ish) where he lined as an inline blocker on the line of scrimmage. On both plays he released down the field without any blocking. The rest of the offense tape was him set up wide. He did seem to like to mix it up on defense, so maybe there is something there physically that the highlights didn't show.

I think it was on the 247 recruiting show where one of the guys mentioned data showing the best college and NFL tight ends don't actually play as traditional tight ends in high school and the traditional high school tight ends often don't translate to college.

That’s almost the norm, not exception of who we’ve recruited at TE recently

Aka if you're fast in high school you arent being a glorified LT, youre playing WR while the fat kid from Geometry plays OL. Then they beef you up in college to play TE.
