I honestly don't know what would work best here for this guy. Table dance? Stiff drink? Nap? Cold shower?

50/50 when ND has never lost a recruit to Indiana? lol.

He’s going to Bama. He’s from Alabama. His nickname is Bama.
In recruiting if you’re not first your last!

I agree with everything you said.

But I just randomly had the thought of how genius of an idea it would be for Indiana just to pay the kid to put a hat on the table, even if he’s not considering them. Which sort of gives the impression that they and the hat belong there. I’m not saying that’s what happened, I’m just saying I could see it.

I used to work about 3 minutes up the road from this kid’s HS.

Damn....just looked on maps, never realized it was right at the 69/465 split. Burned those roads up when I was younger.

If IU keeps winning, Cig stays, and the NIL funds are there, they are going to start winning battles against ND for Indiana hs recruits.
Honestly never been a focus for ND in the years...there has been some weird obsession with Chicago but ND has been a national recruiter for many many years...

Yup. Right down the street from Roche on Hague Rd. Connelly Jr. and Greg Oden’s HS.

My stepdad has a garage that he rents out up that way on 82nd and Bash.

With the portal, I'd rather him stay close....when IU fizzles out...it's an easy jump to ND. If he was at Bama....it's an easy jump to the whole SEC.
Sadly it comes to IU fizzling out to gain real traction for a local 5⭐, honestly never saw that coming in my lifetime.

How long does Cignetti stay at IU? IU is hot until he leaves. It won’t be a LT destination for the 5 stars, but it could be a 5 year struggle for us.

You have to remember
1) IU may be up
2) Schools like Wisconsin, MSU are dead now and PSU, UM are slipping up some.
ND will have fucking plenty

I struggle to think of a reason why Sales going to IU is worse for us than Sales going to Bama or OSU.

O$U maybe, but the Loosiers are on a hot buying spree, but that will fizzle over time fairly soon (check their yr-after-yr overpaid B-ball team ... they suck). Bama is becoming a complete 'has been'. If things go accordingly, Bama won't even be in the top 3rd of the SEC (CFP committee and ESPN sponsored) conference.

Not surprised, but still disappointing to not even be a finalist.

Not every athlete is going to be interested in what Notre Dame has to offer. Sales has always struck me as someone who is interested in a big state school with a lot of co-eds and little interest in the academic side of things... His final 4 are not surprising, Miami may be private, but they have about 20,000 students and plenty of co-eds with little need to focus on academics.

Not a surprise, he is a 'Bama native and a kid who probably hits the portal at least once.
