I just don't see that at all. Geography means very little. Indiana being good is bad for middling B1G teams, it doesn't effect us any more than any other blueblood. Besides, if Indiana can win there's absolutely no excuse for us.

A methodical run team looks like it would give Indiana a lot of problems. They only play 13 guys on defense? Maybe why Iowa and Penn State were their close games. Oregon should lean on them all game if possible.

Flip side Bama had no chance - they have disciplined guys everywhere in the passing game.

I guarantee he was talking about “other than ND”. He wasn’t guaranteed that he’d start so he made the best decision for him. When he decided to leave ND, he wanted to find a school w/ great culture & chance to win an NC. I would hope that’s what all transfers are looking for. Sadly it’s not. At least that’s what I took from his comment.

Ashton Craig must be really good because Coogan is going to play on Sundays

He looked good getting out on that downfield block. ND may correctly have thought Craig as the better center but I wonder (in hindsight obviously) if they knew Craig was injury prone, they would’ve gone a different direction? There’s no way they could predict he’d have back-to-back season ending injuries requiring surgery so not criticizing ND staff just sucks that Craig can’t stay healthy.
