You wouldn’t think it, but Indiana really does have some top tier universities that are world renowned in certain fields.

Notre Dame
IU
Purdue
Butler
Rose Hulman
Indiana State
Evansville

Heck, even DePauw and Wabash are pretty widely heralded small (D3) schools.

Hanover too I’d throw in with D3s. I have a lot of buddies that played their ball/graduated from there, and they all make bank. $$$

What, no Indiana Tech love? They at least have good pizza and strip club options.

Insight into his evaluation process.

"The first question is the stats: What were his junior-year stats? What were his senior-year stats? Why did he miss games? Why did he play in only eight games versus 12?" Williams said. "Those are the biggest questions he asks."

Cignetti's desire for on-field evidence, Williams added, is even more pronounced with transfers. Although Cignetti and the assistants who joined him from James Madison knew what the JMU players they brought over to Indiana could do, their evaluation for non-JMU transfers emphasized consistent production and durability."

On Sarratt...

"His ability to have quick reactions, his ability to have quick movements, and just his ability to obviously make plays, stood out over, 'what's his 40 time?' We don't know, but he's a guy we want to take a shot on."

Purdue in particular is amazing for their engineering program I've heard.
True. My oldest started his freshman year in engineering. I don't remember which program it was, but in HS he had the highest math grade in the entire school. After a semester at Purdue, he switched.

Hasn't Purdue produced more US astronauts than any other college?
That they have. A statue of Neil Armstrong sits on campus.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology consistently ranks among the top engineering schools, holding the #1 spot for undergraduate engineering in U.S. News & World Report for 27 consecutive years (2025 guide)

That and the engineering building is named after him. Their pharmacy school is top 10-15 in the country as well. Son blew me away in his 1st semester in the PharmD program....all As.

If his coaching career ever goes off the rails Kurt “the Truth” Cignetti would be a great name for a singer of a New York style hardcore band.

Cignetti's superpower is figuring out what juniors and seniors who have been playing a lot at other schools will pick up what they are doing the fastest. He's the best at the portal, but its risky to put everything on 2 weeks of recruiting at the end of the season.

None of these schools are waiting for the window to open to start recruiting. Except us, apparently

Maybe but his demeanor and attitude just speaks CFB to me. I don't think he would mesh well with a bunch of overpaid and entitled NFL players.
Easy to argue that dynamic is now worse in college.

They are impressive; he is impressive.

I can’t quite figure it out, how they can be this good. They have some nice players - but compared with any recent championship level team (Alabama’s, Clemson’s, Georgia’s, Ohio State, Michigan) it’s not even close. Maybe it’s the state of the game now.

Or maybe he’s the one that always had the deer antler formula?? Timelines and team acne match.
