I think they'll have one "down year" and just implode like Colorado did. They're riding high off 2 straight cfp appearances. I don't blame them at all. Personally, I couldn't cheer for a team like that. I miss the "charm" of following players through recruiting and then their playing career. That seems to be dead now.

I'm not convinced he'll be going 8-4 for a few years. If he wins it this year at Indiana he deserves a statue and as many 8-4 years as he wants until he's ready to quit

I'm more just saying it's the perfect storm for them right now. They're capitalizing on this now. And I don't blame them at all. But if for some reason they crap out, I believe it will all fall apart.

Going to play linebacker at the next level. ND plays a base nickel defense and already has 2 LBs committed in the 2027 cycle and took 2 in the 2026 cycle as well. I think they'll only take a 3rd LB if he's a special talent that they can't pass up on. It's just not a position that ND can take numbers at when you consider that they play 75% of their snaps out of 2 LB looks.

i will only worry about IU high school recruiting when they start hitting the Chicago area hard and landing some of the big time 4 star kids that we want
