Lockett and Iboroga visiting is what’s referenced in the link.

Add that to Marsh and Tez Williams visiting then. I believe Xavier Gilliam too. I am sure there’s a handful more of prospects we don’t know about yet as well
Sounds like Freeman wasn't just playing golf and dreaming of the NFL.

Iowa State WR Xavier Townsend is visiting

Feel like we’re set on 5’10” WRs and we need size. Not sure the point of this target and it’s not like his 18 catches lit the world on fire.

Related. Are we getting anything out of Cam Williams this year? If you’re not producing by your junior year you’re usually out of the picture, and I notice none of the pods ever mention him in future plans.

Edited my post too late but it’s for kick returner/reserve receiver. If they get Marsh or someone comparable I’m good with having this guy in a pinch as well. À la Jayden Harrison

Notre Dame loves the "buy low" rotation receiver that they think they can get more out of, ala Will Pauling and Jayden Harrison. If they think there is a guy out there that is undervalued and who could be an upgrade in their top 6, they're open to him. You know that you're going to face at least 1-2 key injuries to WRs throughout the season, so depth is important, especially in a season in which you'd expect an uptick in thr passing game usage with the return of Carr and the corresponding loss of Love and Price.

In modern college football, you're looking for at least 6 guys that you feel can play. Obviously ND wants a Msrsh type boundary receiver, but I don't think they want more than one with Gilbert developing nicely in a #2 role out there. For argument sake, something like the following would make a lot of sense with as much 11 personnel as Denbrock wants to run....

Boundary: Nick Marsh or Ian Strong
2. Micah Gilbert
3. Cam Williams

Slot: Jaden Greathouse
2. Xavier Townsend
3. Logan Saldate

Field: Jordan Faison
2. KK Smith
3. Elijah Burress

That's a really solid 3-deep at each position, with a quality class of freshmen coming in That will have the time to learn and develop.

I'd prefer if they stuck to one boundary receiver in the portal and mixed players in at multiple positions.
Make Faison the number 2 slot to give KK and Burress more snaps at the field.

I think Kayden Finley is going to find his way into the rotation at some point this season.

I've got no problem with that approach either. I trust that the staff has a good grasp on their depth chart and any upgrades that they feel they need to compete for a championship. There are a lot of names on the WR deoth chart that have done very little at the college level. Now, that may be the product of limited opportunity, however, it's more likely that those opportunities have been limited due to inconsistent play or lack of development in a practice setting.

ND really searching for value in guys that will likely command less money because they got hurt early in the 2025 season and didn't get to put up the numbers that they otherwise would have. Jontez Williams and Horace Lockett are both prime examples of this. They might slide under the radar at some other potential suitors.

Lots of experience. More of a run defender than a pure pass rusher. 6'3, 260lbs. Pretty much the Burnham style rotational end that ND is looking for.

ND going toe-to-toe with some big spenders for these prospects. Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Tennessee, etc. That NIL money better be flowing in to supplement Rev Share. I projected $6-7'ish million combined allotted to thr Portal. Maybe (and hopefully) I was a little low and they've come up with an extra couple million to spend!... More likely they're simply giving themselves as many options as possible given the offers that will be flying around.
