Hope he can kick field goals.Prister and Loy have said ND has their guy locked up at kicker.

Recap for us poors?
Nice! It will interesting to see if the prestige of playing at ND will matter more to him than the large sums of cash Texas Tech will throw at him... Better yet, what if ND matches ?Sounds like the Wake Forest d tackle is visiting per Nakos and singer.
I know nothing about Texas Tech’s coaching staff, but maybe our new NFL experienced D-Line coach makes a difference too.Nice! Sounds like Freeman wasn't just playing golf and dreaming of the NFL.Lockett and Iboroga visiting is what’s referenced in the link.
Add that to Marsh and Tez Williams visiting then. I believe Xavier Gilliam too. I am sure there’s a handful more of prospects we don’t know about yet as well

Iowa State WR Xavier Townsend is visiting
Feel like we’re set on 5’10” WRs and we need size. Not sure the point of this target and it’s not like his 18 catches lit the world on fire.
Related. Are we getting anything out of Cam Williams this year? If you’re not producing by your junior year you’re usually out of the picture, and I notice none of the pods ever mention him in future plans.
Notre Dame loves the "buy low" rotation receiver that they think they can get more out of, ala Will Pauling and Jayden Harrison. If they think there is a guy out there that is undervalued and who could be an upgrade in their top 6, they're open to him. You know that you're going to face at least 1-2 key injuries to WRs throughout the season, so depth is important, especially in a season in which you'd expect an uptick in thr passing game usage with the return of Carr and the corresponding loss of Love and Price.Feel like we’re set on 5’10” WRs and we need size. In modern college football, you're looking for at least 6 guys that you feel can play. Obviously ND wants a Msrsh type boundary receiver, but I don't think they want more than one with Gilbert developing nicely in a #2 role out there. For argument sake, something like the following would make a lot of sense with as much 11 personnel as Denbrock wants to run....
Boundary: Nick Marsh or Ian Strong
2. Micah Gilbert
3. Cam Williams
Slot: Jaden Greathouse
2. Xavier Townsend
3. Logan Saldate
Field: Jordan Faison
2. KK Smith
3. Elijah Burress
That's a really solid 3-deep at each position, with a quality class of freshmen coming in That will have the time to learn and develop.

I do too! I'd expect it be in the second half of the season, after the inevitable 1-2 injuries that thin out the depth chart.I think Kayden Finley is going to find his way into the rotation at some point this season.
I've got no problem with that approach either. I trust that the staff has a good grasp on their depth chart and any upgrades that they feel they need to compete for a championship. There are a lot of names on the WR deoth chart that have done very little at the college level. Now, that may be the product of limited opportunity, however, it's more likely that those opportunities have been limited due to inconsistent play or lack of development in a practice setting.I'd prefer if they stuck to one boundary receiver in the portal and mixed players in at multiple positions.
Make Faison the number 2 slot to give KK and Burress more snaps at the field.

Lots of experience. More of a run defender than a pure pass rusher. 6'3, 260lbs. Pretty much the Burnham style rotational end that ND is looking for.![]()
