I believe he was committed to A&M before flippinYea I figured them and Bama would be the programs to watch.

Some similar “profile” type vibes as Fields though I don’t think he’s put it nearly together like him. Played basketball in HS + QB/WR. From Montana and was originally recruited to be a TE.

Well, if Trinidad Chambliss worked out then all D2 transfers must be great… 👀Trinidad Chambliss was transfer from D2, seems to have worked out pretty well for ole Miss
Asking genuinely, but are / were their any names that you had in mind? Even the largest "most open" checkbooks in the country typically only bring in a handful of quality players each year, with 1 true gem.Idk. I guess I’m expecting/hoping for bigger fish. I would’ve thought the checkbooks would’ve opened all the way up after the CFP scam.

If, for argument sake, ND brought in the following, would you be disappointed?
- A Nick Marsh caliber, starting boundary receiver.
- 2 defensive tackles that can start and/ or play heavy rotational minutes. A guy like Mateen Igborogba and a second player of similar / greater talent.
- An experienced backup QB willing to sit behind CJ Carr.
- A 1A caliber running back to share the backfield with Williams.
- An experienced nickel to shares reps with Dalas Golden
- An experienced kicker, with proven 80%+ accuracy.
Would that 7-8 man portal class not be exciting for you?

Would be beyond GRRREAT but I'm sure he finds his way to a school in Texas, Alabama, California or even Ohio. 😒😒Freeman should do the Cam Coleman to ND. Send tweet thing next.
Guess the question is how close we get to those especially at WR, DT and KAsk

This would be a dream scenario portal haul, not the likely outcome. I think everyone on the board takes this no questions asked.Ask

I actually think you're going to be surprised at how close ND's portal outcome is to this. This would be a dream scenario portal haul, not the likely outcome. I think everyone on the board takes this no questions asked.
You realize that division 2 players do get drafted and play in the NFL, right? Why would we not be open to a talented D2 transfer that fit a need?Well, if Trinidad Chambliss worked out then all D2 transfers must be great… 👀
Of course he does. What are the percentages of D2 guys that make the NFL? Most quality D2 guys are lacking either height, size, speed, or strength to play on the top D1 teams. You realize that division 2 players do get drafted and play in the NFL, right? Word is tOSU has a $3 mil offer for Coleman. Auburn was slightly north of $2 mil. He doesn’t have $3 mil hands but it ain’t my $.The early word is that A&M and UGA are 2 teams to watch for Coleman.
Yes, but the flaw in that argument is that when you're recruiting / drafting a specific player, it doesn't matter what the overall percentages look like. You're not recruiting / drafting "Div 2". You're targeting a specific proven commodity based on film and production.Of course he does. What are the percentages of D2 guys that make the NFL? The portal are a bunch of backups looking for change in scenery or a bunch of potential but not proven vs the most talented opponents looking to up their NIL/Draft ante.... Sprinkle that with a RARE Caleb Downs caliber....
Portal is the equivalent of the NFL FA. You plug holes if you can. The signing class is your draft. You invest in the draft and use the portal to plug here or there. Too much emphasis on portal or consistent strike outs in recruiting classes and your going to be set back for years.
If it's $1 Million in rev share and $2 Million from an NIL collective, that's highly palatable for a high end program that values the position.Word is tOSU has a $3 mil offer for Coleman. Auburn was slightly north of $2 mil. He doesn’t have $3 mil hands but it ain’t my $.

In the modern game WR joins QB, OT, CB and Edge as one of the games 5 most valuable / potentially impactful positions. It's 100% a position you overpay for if you can get a guy that you think is a difference maker.
They're built around having multiple WRs that you can't cover and creating a reality in which you can choose to double team one of their elite guys, but in the process you leave the other 1 or 2 guys in single coverages or soft zones. Ryan Day is probably the best coach in the country at using fairly simple passing schemes that are QB friendly and easy to learn / execute. In order for those schemes to consistently work, however, he relies on having multiple pass catchers, with elite talent, playing on the field simultaneously. For OSU it doesn’t make sense. They kill the WR recruiting and they hit on most of their guys.
I would have took a joquie bell transfer from wayne state to notre dame if it existed thenOf course he does. What are the percentages of D2 guys that make the NFL? Most quality D2 guys are lacking either height, size, speed, or strength to play on the top D1 teams.
Another productive receiver, who's not quite the boundry WR size, but likely goes to NFL after next year; admission to ND could be an issue.
