Another starting, productive TE but with even bigger size and height; also has only 1 year left of eligibility.
Likely headed to PSU, one of their linebackers did today as well.

Oh, I can actually help with this one.Can we start a Canadian ONLY thread? I don't speak Canadian.
Really sporadic. There are some high end skill positions players in that area, but not many that have university / college oriented academic profiles. Not many linemen either. A lot of taller, thinner, basketball types along both offensive and defensive fronts. Every year there will be a couple RBs, WRs and DBs that can really play though.Out of curiosity, how is the east end of Toronto in terms of talent? I played high school ball in Scarborough many many moons ago but I haven't kept up on the scene of late. We had a couple of kids from our team go on to play University ball but I've lost touch with them ages ago.
If healthy, like Flanagan, Flanigan, Premer, and longterm Preston. Larson and Washington are not itI personally feel like ND's TE's simply need a chance. As long as Cooper Flanagan hasn't lost significant athleticism coming off of the achilles, I think that you invest a ton of time, energy and hours in the weight room with the combination if Flanagan and Flanigan.
Given that Ian Premer is also not enrolling early, you literally make it a part time job of a staffer in the strength program and a staffer on the offensive staff, to ensure that he's doing high end workouts back in Kansas, with oversight from ND's program and is involved in weekly zoom sessions to ensure that he's learning the offense. Premer needs come in around a well built 6'5, 240lbs, strong and fit. He could contribute right away.
I’m a huge fan of the TE position and the matchup problems they can be. My concern is the health issues and lack of experience with the current group . If a stud TE is available/interested I’m all for a portal add.If healthy, like Flanagan, Flanigan, Premer, and longterm Preston. Larson and Washington are not it

I could see a lot more 11 personnel this year, especially with CJ Carr in his second year running the offense and the Love / Price combo off to the NFL. Denbrock loves 11 personnell, when his roster calls for it. If ND can add a Marsh / Duff boundary type WR and both Faison and Greathouse are healthy, unarguably the most dangerous pass catchers on the team will be the receiving group. Not to mention, as explosive as Love was and as much if a weapon he was in th pass game, I actually think Aneyas Williams is an upgrade there. We're talking about an elite pass catching RB, who can catch passes at all three levels.Welcome to IE, Ontario!
The law firm of Flanagan and Flanigan has the potential to be the best run blocking TE group since Tremble, Kmet/ Wright, imo. I'll be curious how much this group forces Denbrock to utilize 11 personnel along with a Joe Moore contending OLine to simply overwhelm teams from a size/strength perspective.
You're spot on regarding Flanagan's achilles recovery. Fortunately, he'll be 18 months removed from injury. The luxury is that both offer elite size for the position and won't be a liability if asked to block dlinemen.
The wildcard is Premer. Can he be Mayer/Bower light? Will he prove to be the elite receiving threat he looks like on film? Hearing he's already pushing 6'6, 240 which makes one think he'll have requisite size to help in packages.
That's really interesting. Thanks for the insight.Really sporadic. In terms of the East end of the GTA, believe it or not a lot of the best players are actually in Scarbrough and Peterborough. Monsignor Paul Dwyer in Oshawa is a powerhouse that sends kids to college programs every year. The same is true of Crestwood in Peterborough. Pickering and Durham are much like Scarborough. Some nice skill position kids. Head a little further north and there are some really high end programs such as Huron Heights in Newmarket and St. Andrew's College in Aurora.
I think if you don't go after a TE in the portal (and I'm not saying they should or shouldn't), you need to be absolutely sure what you have in Flanagan and Flanigan. I think Jimmy has a ton of upside and can be absolutely elite, but what do you have in Cooper, when he barely played this year and is coming off an achilles injury?I personally feel like ND's TE's simply need a chance. As long as Cooper Flanagan hasn't lost significant athleticism coming off of the achilles, I think that you invest a ton of time, energy and hours in the weight room with the combination of Flanagan and Flanigan.

Another not-quite-the-boundary-WR size, but fairly productive and has solid speed and potential; transferred to NC State from OSU and had top P4 offers out of HS including ND.
It will be very interesting to gauge if the achilles has sapped much of Flanagan's athleticism. In this day and era I'm sure he will come back strong, as for Premer I think he has the ability to play in the 2nd half of the season and could start for a lot of programs. His skills are A1 and as you stated it's just a matter of getting his body in condition for elite level Football. I believe he's already in the 6'5 230lb range at the moment.I personally feel like ND's TE's simply need a chance. Yes but also, he needs to finish his senior year of high school and attend prom. I think he's great as well but maybe pump the brakes just a tad? Hopefully he has a seamless transition.Premer should be a plug in and play right away guy for ND in 2026, a Michael Mayer 2.0. I think he could be one of CJ Carr's go to guy's.
Could he be our short yardage solution? Premer Cat?Premer should be a plug in and play right away guy for ND in 2026, a Michael Mayer 2.0. I think he could be one of CJ Carr's go to guy's.
Not sure he is the best available, but definitely need to bring in 1 portal kicker AND open up competition for the best soccer players to try out.Could see us making an offer for this guy:
