Thanks man! Looking forward to corresponding with you as well. I've been busy coaching college ball for the last few years and have been away from posting. That said, I've remained a lurker on a few boards and felt like it was time to start contributing again.

Those were the good ol days of message boards lol. I was under the same handle back then. That site got wacky and then I came over here. Never looked back!

Thanks man! I recruit the Mississauga / Etobicoke / Brampton area quite frequently. A lot of quality football talent in that region West of Toronto, down through London and Windsor.

There are some quality players in ROPSAA. Big disparity in talent however, as there are only a few schools that take football seriously. This was almost 15 years ago, so I'm not sure how much has changed though.

Decent handful on NFLers have come out of the Southern Ontario area. Brent Urban, Luke Willson, Tyrone Crawford, Sydney & Chase Brown, John Metchie, Neville Gallimore (from your neck of the woods), Josh Palmer etc..

In my experience, the OVFL was the best .The size, athleticism and just overall skill of many of the players would be comparable to many levels of HS football in the States. Neat stuff.

When I was being recruited, Coach Asselin resigned than Etcheverry was brought in but didn't last past five or six games. I wasn't seriously looking at UO but I remember being excited when he was brought in because he was DC for several years in the CFL.

I received a few emails and the like from Dave Jackson, and I briefly spoke with the DC... McDermid I think?

Out of curiosity, how is the east end of Toronto in terms of talent? I played high school ball in Scarborough many many moons ago but I haven't kept up on the scene of late. We had a couple of kids from our team go on to play University ball but I've lost touch with them ages ago.
