After the game, I considered the A&M loss the worst I've seen since following ND (2013). The playoff sub + this performance confirm that.

Loss would've looked worse in a regular conference schedule. The best SEC team they played was Texas, right?

What’s more shocking IMO is that neither team seemed to get better as the season progressed despite playing a pretty weak schedule. While ND clearly got better and not just based off their weak schedule.

Ash figured out the defensive play calls
The defense finally got the right personnel & Davonte Smith got healthy
Carr continued to grow into his position.

After the aTm loss, I thought Miami was legit and could run the table. I thought aTm was a fraud and not as good as Miami. Reed has a strong arm but he doesn’t have an accurate arm & they don’t have a true run threat. Miami gave me pause after their two bad losses but aTm didn’t exactly impress in their close wins vs bad teams.

Because bad teams get high draft picks & continue to go “all in” on hyped up QBs in hopes they find a needle in a haystack but then he flops & they’re right back at the top of the draft board in a year or two. I know people love the NFL but there’s so much ineptness in front offices which leads to so much mediocrity.

It’s about ND not having to share any money. Last year ND cleared 20 mill with no revenue share. Thats what it’s about.

Other than just making sure the ACC didn't get left out, why would ESPN or the committee gaf about where the money went? They pay the same per playoff game whether it's to an entire conference or a single team, don't they? I'd think they're a lot more concerned with viewership and thus ad revenue money than whether a playoff game payout got split betwen 14 teams or kept by 1. My original point was that ESPN profits from more viewers and ND would almost certainly bring more of them than OU or Miami. What am I missing?
