The thing that jumps off the page the most in this game for me is that ND’s top three running backs look far and away better than any of the backs I’m seeing today from Miami and AtM.

There’s a meme of a YouTube video title with two guys fighting that I want to use to describe this game, but that’d probably get me banned. You know the one.

Well the bad news news is neither team wants to win this game.

I guess the good news is someone has to.

these first 4 teams have been a great advertisement for instead picking in form teams who have worked on getting execution right through the season.
ESPN and the committee don't like getting punked. Hopefully they take form into consideration moving forward

ND should pay for a plane to fly a sign above College Station saying:

"this is putrid, form and a 10-game winning streak means something."

After the game, I considered the A&M loss the worst I've seen since following ND (2013). The playoff sub + this performance confirm that.

I refuse to get too invested in this game, but 3 for Miami has been absolutely abusing the aTm LT for the entire second half.

I can't agree with that entirely. ND would be a bigger draw than Oklahoma or Miami.
Yes, but I think the selection is at least in part about distributing money to conferences. This year, no Miami meant no money for ACC teams. And if ND played OU (or Alabama) and won, that's only one check for the SEC (from that part of the bracket). Or, if ND lost, that's two checks. By contrast, putting a second SEC team in that spot means three checks (one for each team plus one for the next round, since one of them will win).

This is correct
