SIAP, but how certain are you guys that BYU, with a loss, falls behind Miami? BYU would have two losses to the number 4th ranked team in the country, while Miami would have two loses to unranked SMU and Louisville. BYU has the 35th SOS & 6th SOR, while Miami has the 44th SOS & 14th SOR. Some could argue that BYU, with two losses, is a better football team than Miami...

I'll just say this: Miami better pray they get into the CFP this year because they sure are printing bulletin board material by the ream for ND at this point when they show up next year (assuming they don't back out again because they can't figure out how to get out of the state of Florida).

I don't think it's a given. They already lost big to TT, so the committee has a valid basis to say "we already knew TT was better than BYU, they were ranked 11 with that factored in and losing a second time doesn't change that perception."

We're not, but that's why we want them to lose by ~10. Not a blowout.

This clown has his TV paused on a one handed catch that happened in August... this is a high school homecoming election.

Apologies if this has been mentioned in this thread, but I just saw it mentioned by a poster 247 (yes, I know, I know).

Miami was already rewarded for its win over ND with a subsequent top 5 ranking in the weeks that followed. They then lost that reward by losing to Louisville and SMU. Why do they (and I guess everyone else) feel they should be rewarded AGAIN for that victory?

The obsession with the shifting betting lines is a little silly. Who in their right mind wouldn't put 50-100 on Miami at those odds? You'd be stupid not to. Of course the lines are going to move.

I got them at +900 the minute the rankings came out. That is absolute robbery for something that's basically anyone's guess.

“The national discourse is really changing”

*Posts the Miami based podcast who has been saying the same thing for a month*

This is a grown man who didn't go to UM losing his mind over the opportunity to watch them play an away game in College Station. If you take a step back, it's truly pathetic.

Rest assured, he has other interests befitting of a Miami fan. He's an aspiring DJ.

If Troy wins tonight... any chance Boise State jumps them as the next champ and that bolsters our resume?

I'm not sure that a 9-4 G5 conference winner would get in over Duke.
Just ignore me.

I got them at +1000 and should've bid more. Was a ridiculous line.

Less than 48 hours and we can all move on.
Man to be honest, the last month has taken what should be an incredible season and made it totally miserable. I try to keep the perspective that 10 straight wins with an average margin of victory around 30ppg and an incredible Heisman worthy season from a generational player like Love make the season worth it, but this shit has been a grind. Honestly, if BYU pulls the rabbit out of the hat tomorrow I will be disappointed but then breathe a sigh of relief knowing that it's over and at least Miami isn't getting in either.

Yep, they need to move away from weekly ranking shows (fuck espn). And just do 1 show after the CCGs. March madness doesn’t do two months of are they in are they out bullshit.

Some tuned into the Pat McAfee show today to watch the AD speak, we've all clicked so many links and articles. This is EXACTLY what ESPN wants...drama and fans hanging on every word and article that is being written. Pretty smart from a business standpoint.

More serious leaks from the committee.

A&M is -5000 to make the Quarterfinals on FanDuel. Oregon is -650, Ole Miss is -140, Bama -200, ND +105, OU +160. Someone knows something here. The only explanation here is A&M is moving up from the 7 seed.

As others have said, we should know if we are in or not prior to the Sunday bracket reveal just looking at the Sportsbooks.
