Here's the problem: it makes zero sense to include more than 3-4 teams from any one conference because at some point you're just replaying the regular season. I think we see A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss, and then probably Oklahoma. More than that feels silly unless the other teams in conferences are 3 losses or just that bad schedule wise.

If things stand, will it be Georgia vs Alabama SEC title game? Hot take but the loser of that should be out. I mean if someone is 0-2 against another playoff team they should be automatically DQ’d. Or Bama would be 3 losses and already on the backend of the playoff rankings. I know it wouldn’t happen though.

Are you surprised?
Not in the least. They ranked half the SEc preseason and then from there on it’s a self fulfilling cycle. They get credit for beating a ranked team and don’t get penalized too much for losing to a ranked team. That way they end up with at and least a handful of teams in a position to make it. For example Texas jumped 12 spots in two weeks lol.

Georgia clinched one spot, but I thought the 2nd spot is going to A&M or Ole Miss?

Oklahoma is one place ahead of us and just looked terrible against a bad LSU team. Why are you so convinced we’re going to drop out but they definitely are not?
I think we're getting in, it's just not gonna be as smooth as some people make it out to be

Gotta have Texas Tech and/or Georgia next week… at least one of those teams have to win their conference championship, UNLESS the committee ranks us ahead of the Sooners.

I just don't think it's that simple. I think the committee views championship games as "extra credit" opportunities. Only upside, no downside. Otherwise, teams would be lobbying to not play in the game. Ole Miss and Oklahoma get to just sit home next weekend because of how the tiebreakers worked out. Bama shouldn't get punished for finishing 2nd instead of 3rd or 4th

Bama is out if they lose, as they should.

But if they win, there is zero chance Georgia is out.
