We have some real talent on this team. When you have an AA on each side of the ball it makes things easier for everyone else. Now think if BenMo would have stayed!

Make no mistake, Moore is about as good as it gets. He's big, can cover, has great ball skills. There really isn't a ton that is glaringly lacking. He's going to get stronger and better as he goes, but after shutting down Lemon Saturday night, it's game on the rest of the season. Gray and Golden can keep holding the fort down while Moore essentially takes away an entire column out of every offense they will face the rest of the year.

Three Star.
Just like Morrison and Julian Love before him.

Downs or the Tech guy are my guesses. Downs if I had to choose one.

Seriously, just stay healthy across the board. Our defense can be so frickin good next year.

Leonard Moore, University of Notre Dame, Cornerback, So.
Moore delivered one of the nation’s most dynamic defensive seasons, earning a PFF Defensive Coverage Grade of 91.4, one of the highest marks among cornerbacks. Moore totaled 26 tackles (19 solo, seven assisted) and showcased exceptional playmaking instincts with four interceptions, four pass breakups, and four passes defended. He also added a forced fumble and one touchdown, proving to be a consistent momentum-shifter in Notre Dame’s secondary. Despite his sophomore status in the locker room, Moore is viewed as a steady leader, earning the trust of the defensive staff to the point where game plans are often shaped around his dependable presence. Coaches praise not only his maturity and discipline, but also his uplifting energy, making him an invaluable presence beyond his on-field production.

I can only think of that one play where he fell down and the WR scored in terms of "bad" plays (he probably would have picked it if he didn't fall). The experts say he was average against TAM so maybe there are a few bad plays there. Everything else is pretty much as good as you can expect from any DB I would say.

I want to see him follow Jeremiah Smith around the formation like he did against Lemon.
First order of business is CJ Williams who represents Stanford’s only real WR threat (TE gets a lot of usage). Shut him down and their pass game goes nowhere. Moore should be on Williams as much as possible.

Looking at mock drafts if he was eligible this year he would def be a top 10 pick this year.

Not sure if anybody has better stats that's a finalist for the Thorpe.

I can see them giving it to Downs just cuz he's on the #1 team though

The way the Stanford QB kept throwing towards Moore made me think their coaches forgot to mention him in their film sessions.
It was nice to see him get a chance to demonstrate what makes him special, though. He never really gets that opportunity. It’s possible the ND may have the best offensive and best defensive player in the country this year.

Cornerback: Leonard Moore, Notre Dame

After a stellar true freshman season, Moore entered his sophomore campaign as the PFF’s top-ranked cornerback in America and further showed why this year. His 92.0 grade is tied for the best among all corners in the country and leads all Power Four defensive backs. Moore’s five interceptions are tied for the most in the nation, and he’s only allowed a 45.9 passer rating into his coverage.

Fantastic segment on the latest here come the Irish. I didn't realize he was epileptic, too.

His comes from a great family. With his dad's profile, it means a lot that he went to ND. Tells you what they think of the school and program

Top 10 pick, today.
I think Moore is the first defensive player off the board if he could go pro this year. He's like designed in a lab to be the perfect corner back. I don't follow recruiting close enough but it makes no sense to me how he wasn't a 5 star.
