Fort Cherry lost to a team (Laurel) from my hometown, all I can tell you guys is.....It's the lowest class in the WPIAL. So low, if you have a kid willing to play football he is on the team. That being said, sometimes these 1A kids pop like Tyler Boyd or Terrell Pryor. But I worry about the competition, as I'd take a 3 star Knapp (5/6A Ga) over a 4 star WPIAL kid from a 1A school most days of the week.
Jack Kiser played at a 1A IHSAA school.

You will always have those special players, I hope Sieg is one if he ends up at ND. I was just saying the competition is God awful. And it may be a little bit of a learning curve as he's 1000% not use to going up against 11 guys that can flat out play.

If you look at Central Catholic where Hinish is from, they play big time football in Pittsburgh.....They'd beat Fort Cherry at least 75-0 and that's not even a joke.

Difference is Sieg would be a starter at any school in PA regardless of the division.

Not all small school guys aren't good enough. In addition to Kiser we have Luke Talich. If you don't think Talich is any good you must not be watching the games.
Agreed, Talich has been really solid the second half of the season
What a revelation Talich has been. Wasn’t he only offered after Bowen decomitted?
I believe so, he was offered as a PWO. He was deciding between Wyoming and Utah at the time, both on full scholarship.

Maybe, but we'll never know as he dominated very weak competition for years. Could he start as a DB for Central Catholic? Probably... would he be the best player on the field with 3 picks, 10 tackles and a def TD..... probably not. My main point is, he didn't play against much D1 talent. So I hope the transition to the big leagues isn't a hard one...since everyone will be as fast and strong as him for once in his football life.

ND has the best secondary class in the country. There is absolutely no harm in taking this kid. It’s not like they’re deciding between Sieg and a top 50 player. If Sieg works out great. If he doesn’t ND is loaded at safety. They took 6 last year and they’d be fine with 6 this year.

He's also been playing 70% of the season with an injury to his labrum while playing QB and DB. The kid is a player period and has all the toughness you want out of a player. I think it's more of a case of a very good athlete playing against subpar competition and definitely not some average athlete dominating weak competition.

Case in point a very good athlete who was playing in a weak STATE forget conference.

Biggest question for Sieg is not whether he's a take IMO, it's if there's anything in the NIL budget to be competitive for him. We've got a full secondary, somewhere like Pitt/PSU/WVU might be able to offer him a significantly larger sum
