Just became aware of this thread. Complaining about the state of ESPN and the trajectory of sports media is one of the more pathetic trends amongst American bros.

There's no need for highlight shows because you can watch it in a fraction of the time on your phone while taking a shit. The supposed woke mind virus that Clay Travis, Dave Portnoy, and other soft-jawed yokels make their living complaining about has nothing to do with it.

I can think of few things less masculine than whining about a sports highlight show not being to your liking. If you think SportsCenter sucks, go listen to some music or take a walk instead.

Most people have stopped simping for ESPN (but apparently not all)

ESPN will likely tell you its business has never been better. They have built an impenetrable position at the top of the sports media landscape. They own the rights to almost all the major sporting events and are watched by millions consistently. Their bottom line with corporate parent Disney is showing increased resistance against industry headwinds after years of turmoil. ...

But this isn’t about ESPN’s business. It’s about their relationship with the sports fan.

And everywhere you look, fans are losing trust and losing patience with ESPN.

MNF ratings were down 21.5% from the week 9 MNF game last year. Wonder how their advertisers feel about this YouTube tv fight.

Looking forward to seeing the upcoming Stuart Scott 30 For 30. I didn't like him initially, but I quickly changed my opinion. He was so good.
