I'm so glad the committee has zero respect for the ACC. That is a conference of frauds basically top to bottom who don't really deserve the benefit of the doubt. I have some ties to the Atlanta area so I have warm feelings towards GT (they also hate teams I hate like UGA, Miami, and FSU) but they have been on fraud watch for me for about half the season now. The good news for them is they'll have a chance to prove the committee wrong.

IMO, ND should root for BYU this weekend. It would give Texas Tech a second loss, they have two easy games left. BYU has TCU and Cincinnati left. Utah doesn’t have a cakewalk either.

If Tech wins, we want them to win the Big 12.
Disagree here - Tech still gets into the Big 12 title game with a loss, and if they win there over undefeated BYU, Big 12 gets 2 bids. In the event Texas upsets A&M at the end of the year and jumps us, I think we want Tech to win and then hope for TCU or Cincy to upset BYU, knocking them out and keeping us in.

Would love to steamroll BYU and get another shot at TAMU in the 2nd Rd with new officials or beat up on "Little brother" again. Think we finish at #7

Yeah. I think Tech winning this weekend is the better outcome for us. That sets each of them up with one loss going into the CCG, and BYU likely drops behind us. That's a case where I think a team taking a second loss in the conference title game might well be elimination. It's not like either have stellar wins. Whereas if BYU takes its first loss in the CCG they still make it, as does Tech for winning the conference.

This is gonna get even more annoying then it already has been if we keep winning and every week there are posters on here still doubting that we get in.
At this point our wins don't even need to be impressive. Just need to keep getting W's. If you disagree with that take a look at Miami, if they would've beat SMU in overtime they would still be ranked ahead of us.

Sure we could, and unfortunately, the recipe for that is available this year with Texas A&M / Texas playing at the end of the year. Texas winning that would give them a top 5 win and would put them in the SEC title game, simultaneously hurting our strength of record.

Would love to see the Jackets beat UGA. My wife is a Tech alum and we just went to a wedding where one of her friends married a (very nice) UGA alum. The amount of barking I had to endure was incredible.

Thankfully I walked with my head held high having beaten them both in our most recent meetings.

I love this path. I only wish we could keep it.
Is it like last year where the top seed gets to choose which bowl they want in the quarterfinals? Gotta imagine Ohio State wants the Rose Bowl. In fact I might have read that the Big Ten champion automatically gets the Rose Bowl.

The other Quarterfinals are the Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, and Sugar Bowl. I’m curious what IU would choose. Cotton Bowl maybe?

If they didn't take the Cotton Bowl, I'm sure aTm would love it. In fact, because IU and OSU will play each other, if the Ags win out they will probably get to pick the Cotton Bowl as they would probably end up #2 in that scenario.

Honestly fuck the ACC. The refs fuck us over every single week and now they want to hold us up as a marquee win to try and impress the committee (it didn’t work). ACC is viewed as closer to the G5 seemingly nowadays anyways so maybe it’s time to reevaluate uplifting this shitty, corrupt conference.

Such a catty post. They have no other quality wins they want to point out?

With 1st and 2nd, and 3rd and 4th seeds set to play in Conference Championships, the committee has a lot of room to shuffle the deck how they see fit.

My guess, they avoid an A&M or IU rematch in the second round. ND playing Bama or OSU rematch in second round would be juiciest matchups from a ratings standpoint.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this previously, but I just saw the schedule for the first round of playoff games. Two of the four will be televised on TNT, truTV and/or HBO Max. WTF???

"The 2025-26 edition of the 12-team College Football Playoff will begin with the first CFP First Round game on Friday, December 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN. First round action will continue on Saturday, December 20, as ABC and ESPN will broadcast the first game of Saturday's tripleheader at noon ET, while TNT will present games at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. ET, respectively. All games on ESPN networks will be available on the ESPN App, while the first-round games airing on TNT and truTV will also be streamed on HBO Max. Each of the four first-round games will be played on campuses to be announced on Selection Day, December 7."
