There are 3 options to me:

- He’s actually hurt and could return at any time once healthy.

- He got hurt, the 4 game thing was a coincidence and he is now redshirting to preserve a year of eligibility (and NIL) but plans to stay at ND and play in the CFP

- He was done after 4 games and wants to transfer

My gut feeling is the truth is somewhere in the middle of 2 and 3.

Good point, maybe there like this one is not worth it to even push it at all. Just rest the full week and get him healthy for the next 2 weeks.

If it was the last one I don’t see him being around the team and such. I think they would have ripped off the bandaid already like they did with Mickey

To be fair if I were him, I'd be expecting more targets and a bigger role after the playoff production and performance. Before he was injured he had what, maybe 5 total targets on the year.

In today's world of WR, I'd be pissed if I were him. Who knows maybe he's not and this is all speculation.
I know this is literally all conjecture and we don't really know anything, but this would be so soft. You were the top guy in a deep playoff run a year ago, and you suddenly get passed up by two transfers and are even borderline outproduced by KK Smith?

It's not like there is some conspiracy theory to not target him. If that were the case, it means two transfers and a healthy Faison outworked and competed for a larger target share, and guys like KK Smith took advantage of their limited opportunities against NC State.

My gut tells me he really is hurt. He never struck me as a "diva."

The only other plausible scenarios are that he is redshirting or transferring. The latter would be a joke and only an indictment on how soft he is, and if that were the case, good riddance.

Uh, 1993 is the worst for me. Pete Bercich is ND's Bill Buckner. I mean that respectfully and sympathetically. I wouldn't want to be either of those guys, fearing that every person I meet decades later might bring up the thing.
Ugh. Unfortunately I was at this game. 🤮

The bullshit clipping call against Colorado....The Boston College loss and the bush push game.

All 3 still leave a sour taste.

I agree

I love a little over 3 hours away from BC and was hoping to take the kids to their first game. Not with those prices lol. I may check the market on Friday.
I'm flying out of Logan late on Saturday so was also thinking about going, but yeah not for that price

Ohhhh no my apologies. I was only at the Boston College game. Sorry. It's just those 3 games that are my 3 worst losses. 😣
I'm probably the guy that shouldn't be attending. In terms of historic games, I was at the Michigan win in 1988, the Stanford loss in 1990, the Georgia Tech loss in 2007, and the USF loss in 2011. I was supposed to be at Tim Brown's Heisman game (MSU) in 1987, but my tightwad parents couldn't come to an agreement with any of the scalpers, so I got to listen to both punt returns for TDs in the car on the way home.

He wouldn't be on the team if told ND that he intended to transfer.

A friend of mine is a priest who studies at Boston College. He tells me most of the priests there are ND fans and the Jesuit priests there actually have property in South bend and they organise things so as to be able to go to games there. Haha.

No. I have a bootlegged fire stick. Any channel, movie, TV series sports channel etc. $100 for 6 months.

It's not legal but it's cheap and awesome.

YouTube TV is the biggest scam out there. You're probably only watching 3 of the 80 channels anyway. 🤣

We use my wife’s parents cable log in on the espn app, it’s been a game changer for me. Find someone that has cable still and simply ask them if you can use their account for the espn app. Doesn’t cost them anything extra

Does ESPN+ now allow you to watch regular ESPN programming? When I had it a couple years ago it was only ABC and ESPN+ shows. Couldn’t watch the ESPN cable channel programming.
