Visiting for A&M. An underrated beast who reminds me of a different McKinley that donned the blue and gold

First came on my radar when Caleb "Bonecrusher" Tucker of Mt. Carmel mentioned him as a Chicagoland '28 he was friends with (alongside 5* Darieon Prescott of Bolingbrook)

I'd love us to finally take a guy from Loyola Academy. McKinley has great physicality and ball skills as a sophomore.

Marc Edwards' kid.

Twitter profile says "Class of 2028 | The Bolles School | Football RB | Basketball | Lax | 6’2 220lbs | 40 yard dash: 4.59"

Daddy was a beast, and even if we don't take FBs anymore, son looks like a nice RB/LB/S/DE/TE/whatever prospect. He'll find a spot.

Kid is already bigger than Javon standing 6'3" and close to 220lbs and at 15 I'm pretty sure he outgrows the position. He already moves much more like a TE, but I expect he's in the 6'4" 245 range when he graduates.

Sounds like we are in a very very good spot for Jackson Vaughn, elite pass rusher from Bergen Catholic, per ISD. Also reading between the lines, it seems like he may be reclassifying to 2027. Big time news

Another Brother Rice guy who received an offer on his visit this weekend: TE Jack McNamara
Irish dreamer per his ISD interview. Closes with "I've always loved Notre Dame and I continue to love Notre Dame". Offers from OSU, Texas, A&M, visiting scUM and UGA this season.

Highlights from his first three games this year. Definitely see the strength, speed, and power there. His frame is skinny at this point and I think he could afford to develop his fluidity and balance (kinda typical for a young guy still growing into his body). He is ND's first offer at TE and would be an awesome addition.

ill have to go check him out as my boys school ND College Prep plays them.
They’re 4-0 with a win over defending 8A champs Loyola Academy last Friday. They have a tough challenge coming up against Mount Carmel on Oct. 3rd with the winner of that game having a decent claim to the best in the state

Owensboro Catholic OL John Paul "JP" Carrico interview post visit. Connected with Freeman, Rudolph, and Bivin (Owensboro connection).

Catholic, wants to major in engineering, looks huge already despite being a sophomore.

Didn't ND have the long snapper that went there? John Shannon?

Musn't forget Tregg Duerson, either.
Last Century from Chicago Loyola:

Nick Rassas All American Safety
Elmer Layden Jr HB '48 ND recruiting class- son of....promising player....got hurt

'65 Loyola team won the City Championship -star Loyola QB Tim Foley was told by Purdue during recruiting that IF he went to ND that Ara would make him a DB..so Foley went to Purdue...which then made him a DB..All Big 10....starter at Safety on the 'No Name Defense' Super Bowl champ Miami Dolphins

I somehow hope this comes in handy for me one day in a trivia type setting.

It is nevertheless impressive.

Forgot to mention that Bert Metzger G (Chicago Loyola) for Rockne's '30 undefeated National Champs was also a 1st team All American
