The "vibe shift" over the past two years is actually major realignment among young people away from Democrats. I think it's a product of a number of environmental factors coupled with the breakdown of social contracts that happened from 2020 to 2024.
Hmmm should we focus on:
Income inequality? ❌
Getting money out of politics? ❌
Outrageous healthcare costs? ❌
Education? ❌
Gas stoves? ✅
Why aren't we more popular? 👁️👄👁️

I would say it's way way too early to discern anything about the youth yet.I wouldn't mind seeing a complete reset in Congress, get the career politicians out and find some new blood. Congress can't move with any kind of efficiency, the priorities are all out of whack.
It's crazy to me we're seeing such a huge shift in the youth towards conservatives, while the older population is trending a bit toward liberals. It's often that the elderly get more conservative as they age, while we've seen the youth being more progressive.

It's Vox. Their reputation is that they're far left, biased, and not particularly trustworthy. They have a history of putting agenda before accuracy. I'd take anything they report with a cattle block of salt.I can't read the article because I'm not giving $5 to Vox, but I can see the younger generation flip flopping easily like that.
Completely irrelevant. The polling is from YouGov and CBS. Two well respected pollsters. It's Vox. Their reputation is that they're far left, biased, and not particularly trustworthy. They have a history of putting agenda before accuracy. I'd take anything they report with a cattle block of salt.

Democrats have been losing serious ground with male voters. They even conducted an expensive study recently to figure out why. I can't figure it out either. It's a real headscratcher.

I was intending to be funny, Bishop clearly was posting it to be provocative and get a rise of people.Doesn't anybody have a sense of humor anymore? Bishop's post is funny as is Colorado's.
Mine was using humor to point out a very obvious truth that some are in denial about. That it provoked a couple of the ones in denial was just a bonus! LOLI was intending to be funny, Bishop clearly was posting it to be provocative and get a rise of people.

I would add at least the GOP is giving their voters something. What do the Dems get? Student loans? One Supreme Court justice?I think there are two big things
Across all Gen Z, you see a huge R swing with men, because they've grown up being berated about their male privilege (especially when you see that outcomes for young men are statistically significantly worse than young women) and they're tired of it.
You also can account for a large portion of that right leaning swing due to COVID restrictions which were largely pushed by the left. Birthday parties cancelled, not being able to go to school or do their college graduation, not having high school dances etc. I think it pushed a lot of them away from the more nanny-state party.
You really need to interact more with your average Democratic voter. Not the far left minority that you see on social media.Mine was using humor to point out a very obvious truth that some are in denial about. That it provoked a couple of the ones in denial was just a bonus! LOL
It's not even that, it's a caricature of what he thinks Democrat voters are. The only people that care or run on the issues is defaults back to are current maga politicianYou really need to interact more with your average Democratic voter. Not the far left minority that you see on social media.
The Sydney Sweeney thing isn’t even a far left thing. It’s manufactured outrage by the propaganda accounts that only serve to confuse elderly people who can't find the proper charts of the DJIA. It may seem like a trivial thing to you, but for some it proves to be quite challenging! You really need to interact more with your average Democratic voter. I agree that it's probably a lot of manufactured outrage, but I think those accounts reach a lot more people than just the elderly. There's a lot of stupid people on social media, both sides. The Sydney Sweeney thing isn’t even a far left thing.
