Jones and McCarron were really good College QBs, both of whom were Heisman finalists at one point or another.

AJ McCarron would only be behind Brady Quinn in Passing Yards and Touchdowns.

He had less passing attempts than Quinn, Ian Book, and Jimmy Clausen too.

He only had two wideouts that he played with be drafted, Amari Cooper (1st) and Kevin Norwood (4th).

There's an argument to be made he'd be our best QB since.

AJ Mcarron was definitely a product of a killer running game (need more play anction) and elite receivers getting open easy.

100% he just snatches it effortlessly with his hands. He is so smooth.

Well Greg passed for over 5400 yards in his two seasons starting along with 37 TDs to 9 INTs. Pretty pretty good when you have Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson running the ball.

AJ had 9000 yards in his career with 77 TDS to 15 INTs. Solid career, again when you have Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy, TJ Yeldon, and Kenyon Drake running the rock.

The Irish Illustrated guys mentioned that the roster was updated again, so I took a look. Two things I noticed were that Preston Zinter is now listed as a DL and that DL Kobi Onyiuke is back on the roster after being off of it after spring practice.

According to ISD, it sounded like Zinter was practicing with the ends, which makes sense.

Also, our boy Wagner made it to the 300 club apparently. This truly is a year of major milestones.

Didn't matter if Edward Scissorhands was the QB with 30+ 5* players on both sides of the ball during that time.
