That in no way answers any questionThe trade agreement with the UK? We pay more for products from the UK now. We imported $69B worth of trade from them last year.
And I'm not sure about the deal with China but I assume it is worse for us as well.
I'm sure the "no one should call for violence" people will be very upset by the Speaker of the House saying this.
Just asking questionsNo one takes Mike Johnson seriously. He’s nothing but Trump’s puppet.
A military parade to celebrate the US Army’s 250ty birthday? Yes.Do you really think what they’re doing is appropriate?
lol the stark differences between what was done in 1976 vs 2025 is incredible.A military parade to celebrate the US Army’s 250ty birthday? Yes.
? June 14th is the birthday of the Army. Similar to how flyovers provide useful training for pilots to meet TOT and have the added benefit of using flight hours that are already required for pilot proficiency, the logistical lift required to move units to DC has training value for the Army. They are also in no way new and unique to Trump.lol the stark differences between what was done in 1976 vs 2025 is incredible.
Tired: Celebrating American culture on July 4th
Wired: Celebrate Trump's birthday with an Army parade.
But, remember, he's a patriot and doing this for the patriots! Because all America is just Army! Strength!
Oh fuck me - I jumped the gun on this one lmao.? It is the birthday of the Army
I think criticisms over the cost are fair, especially when juxtaposed with flyovers as those pilots were going to use that JP8 regardless. I think it is still a useful exercise of logistics, but generally think the money could be spent better on warfighting related exercises.Oh fuck me - I jumped the gun on this one lmao.
Still a fucking army parade? That seems like an awfully large waste of money by the people who rountinely say "WhAt ABoUt ThE VETS!!!" when faced with any sort of increase in government safety nets.
250th birthday this year yes.Oh fuck me - I jumped the gun on this one lmao.

I'm asking this seriously, but are there any non-communist/fascist countries that have large military parades?Oh fuck me - I jumped the gun on this one lmao.

Maybe we can remodel the White House to look like a birthday cake like Disney World did for their 25th birthday too!250th birthday this year yes.
Next year is 250th for the country too, pretty sure Trump talked about giant plans for that across the country. Like a giant traveling fair or something. All of that stuff costs money. Won't have another meaningful birthday for another fifty years.
I wasn't around for the Bicentennial, but I think that was a big deal? I know there is a ton of North Dakota Centennial decor/apparel (I collect some) floating around. I will likely be dead or in a nursing home by our Bicentennial, lemme have one big patriotic/home state celebration once dammit!
Yes. Typically though, they are limited in scope and part of more broad country wide celebrations.I'm asking this seriously, but are there any non-communist/fascist countries that have large military parades?
The US for pretty much its entire history has had military parades. As do other countries. As an example, here is three years ago in FinlandI'm asking this seriously, but are there any non-communist/fascist countries that have large military parades?
In terms of G7 countries? I'm not sure anyone does anything past like marching bands/reserves/calvary.I'm asking this seriously, but are there any non-communist/fascist countries that have large military parades?
They're going to pay 14 million dollars alone to repair the streets from this birthday parade for our dear leader. In terms of G7 countries? I'm not sure anyone does anything past like marching bands/reserves/calvary.
Having tanks rolling down your streets doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies. Funny enough, it seems like the "I need muh gun cuz I may need to fight back against the gubmint" crowd is clapping like seals to have the parade.
Wonder who they will pay to do the work......They're going to pay 14 million dollars alone to repair the streets from this birthday parade for our dear leader.
