Duh.
It's not a pyramid scheme. It's a reverse funnel system.

These people really think you are this stupid.

1. Other countries care because it will tank the global economy. If you sell a Nintendo for $500 and now it becomes $700 you make the same amount of money on each sale but *people will buy fewer Nintendos*… everyone loses except the American government, who collects a tax.

2. If you want to “reindustrialize” in specific areas, you would do it with TARGETED tariffs on those industries OR incentives to build here.

Meanwhile we’re using ChatGPT to levy tariffs on small islands and African countries we want specific imports from. Tariffs on raw materials and things we don’t grow here. These people are full on clowns.

Why isn't Bangladesh buying more Mustangs????? Hmmmm Mr. Smart guy! Explain that!

You sit their with your fancy "job", what about the good ol'days of just going to the factory and working 16 hours a week making tshirts? You just wait, all the companies will bring their manufacturing plants BACK. Free enterprise baby!

Bua spends too much time on the internet.

Solid deflection of this dipshit administrations attempt to drive the world economy off a cliff.
Nah. One can spend hours on the internet productively. Do research on new stocks, watch a documentary, read about the dead sea scrolls, the fall of Rome, etc.

Spending your entire day arguing with strangers on the internet about politics should be a path to a therapist's couch. Which is exactly why we haven't heard from @GoIrish41 and @Cackalacky2.0 since the country voted for Trump.

Perhaps..I do all those things? Copying and pasting twitter links doesn't preclude me from doing that.

The amount of effort you think this stuff takes says more about you and your limitations than it says about me.

The most maddening thing about all this from my perspective is that the US had a window of opportunity coming out of the 2008 crash to position itself as the undisputed leader in both clean energy design and manufacturing. Instead all that was handed to China on a silver plater because the GOP couldn’t handle giving Obama a win all the while squawking about socialism and big government interventions in the “free market”.

Then when Biden passed a policy agenda to begin to try to address some of these issues (Chips ACT & Inflation Reduction Act) in his last term the GOP lost their collective shit and here we are. It’s mind numbing yet darkly hilarious that an octogenarian with dementia was better at all this than the current collection of morons.

The country electing a black man seriously broke the GOP's brain. You can tie the rise of Trump back to the 2008 campaign with Palin, the subsequent Obama backlash, and the Tea Party. PBS had a great special on it years ago, and it's pretty easy to find. There are a lot of great long forms on it as well.

Sept 2022 the Dow dropped 8.8% over a months time. In the last 2 days the Down has dropped 7.41% and 9.89% over the last month. Nearly 10% of the economy disappeared directly related to trump opening his mouth.

Are you okay with what is currently going on?
Nope, but I'm also not worried about it long term either, and I'm not impressed with all the crying and wailing from the left when they didn't have a thing to say when it dropped badly under Biden. Most of you couldn't care less about the Dow (or even really understand it). You just want to bitch about Trump.

Not a representative photo. The DJIA is at 38,314 after today. So you might want to move that line down under the next gridpoint. And who knows how far it will go?
It's from earlier this week, I believe, and the only pic I could handily find. You're missing the point, though. It's still WAY above what it was for the majority of Biden's term and you guys weren't concerned about that.

I actually was concerned with that because I trade regularly. It was certainly a bumpy economic time and one of my main priorities is a strong US economy. The difference between then and now is that one man is responsible for drastic disruption of global trade with no apparent concern or regard for the consequences that many experts are confident will come because of it.

Should be worried. Unless you think trump will reverse course soon?

If by “you guys” you mean the left wing radicals that compromise the entire global financial system, then yeah sure. Your arguments attempting to defend and or downplay the unprecedented level of stupidity on display are moronic.
