I guess it's safe to say Samardzija made the right call. Would've love to have seen him in the NFL.

Adrian Dantley?

Internet says he made $3.5M in his NBA career. Possible he made that much in his Euro career and 9 year NBA assistant coaching career.

I remember a big hub bub about his "having to" work as a school crossing guard.

In Dantley's era (the 80s) the average NBA starter made about $300,000 per year.

Hard to compare people in different decades.

Pat Connaughton has made over 55 million guaranteed to average about 6 points, 3.5 boards, and 1.5 assists. Not bad.

Which is actually only a fraction of his worth. He’s the founder and CEO of Three Leaf Partners. They have some serious properties and investments. They have two separate projects going on, one for $92 million and another for $70 million.

By my estimation the following earned a championship ring (at least one):

Pollock
Lidge
Tate
Beuerlein
Montana
Bettis
Tuck
Young
Connaugton

And all of them (unless still active) should be vested for full pensions from their respective leagues. That’s huge, too.

If you had told me in 2015 that Pat Connaughton would make more money playing professional sports than Stephon Tuitt I would have laughed in your face
