Can you rank in order and add some color to what held back our passing game (seemingly until crunch time in the final 2 games)

- pass catching personnel
- inexperienced and eventually patchwork OL
- Leonard's arm
- play calling
- scheme / overall gameplan

In terms of Stoops, yes. Initially, the only real holdup was academic exceptions, and some moderate tweaks of overall entrance requirements. As negotiations went on, Stoops also began to have cold feet.
Also, his wife didn't want to leave Oklahoma. That was a big issue as well. She was some big shot down there in Mary Kay sales (Yes I'm serious)

I don't really have much negative to say in regards to the other two

What were Cierre Wood and Greg Bryant like as student athletes?
We all knew that they had different backgrounds then most kids, did they fit in at ND?
Was there any signs of their both very tragic futures to come?

Is this above the board or is this a way that coaches are compensated? Serious Q since there are allegations etc that lots of HCs are compensated well beyond the numbers on the contract. I'm thinking like Saban and dealerships etc

I thought the rumor was that said girl was a "jersey chaser" and was the same for all of the frozen 4 players?
Nope!

It was a fun rumor but not true.

The Frozen Four thing wasn't even interesting either. Tim O'Malley talked about this years ago. Davaris Daniels emailed in an assignment and forgot to delete out the original message from the tutor who it came from. Something dumb like that.

Nothing salacious to all of these.

I was personally surprised that Manti didn't succeed in the NFL. He had all the tools.

Now, as for someone I knew for a fact would fail: Michael Pink Floyd. Anyone who truly knew Michael at the time, knew he would fail in the NFL.
Do you mind expanding on that a little more? Was he a bad teammate? Curious. And how was Golden Tate perceived with the team? Asking because outside of Shark. Tate was my favorite player. Just loved his energy.

Greg Bryant was a great kid. Not a negative thing to say about him. Worked hard at a place where he was somewhat forced to go by his dad and it didn't work out. I always had a lot of respect for Bryant. His death was tragic and he is one of the great "what if" kids during my ND fandom.

Cierre Wood was an issue. Loved his weed. Somewhat softly benched towards the tail end of 2012. Essentially told not to come back for 2013. Was not given great recommendations leaving ND for the draft. Nothing that would have signaled the monster he would become though.

Ha, I'm curious, both Bua and Merch seem to have tons of inside info, implying they are either on staff or very well connected. I'm wondering if they know each other but don't realize it.

Somewhat of a surreal experience to have nearly every question ever posed on this board be answered. tbh it’s sort of weird. I’m here for it…but still weird.
I'm still suspicious because I'm not sure anyone at ND has this level of info or context across this many areas over this many years. Like Mercke could teach Swarbrick and Brian Kelly some things, lol.

I seriously trust what Bua and Merck have to say over any ND media personality. Still love hearing Jamie Uyeyama break down film, but he’s not giving the behind scenes look into the Irish that Bua and Merck are. Phenomenal insight fellas!
Bua is code for Booyah, a bayou slang if im not mistaken so Denbrock..and someone researched Mercke is a Dutch translation of Marcus...
Will Ash be on here guys?
