The man has a reported 150-155 IQ
His own biographer says there is zero proof his IQ is higher than 100-110.
In truth he's smarter than anyone on this site
False.
I'm sure some of that goes hand in hand with being on the spectrum
1. There is zero proof Musk is on spectrum(specifically that he has autism)
2. It's disrespectful to people with actual spectrum disorders(specifically autism) to excuse Musk's behavior, sans evidence, as a result of a spectrum disorder(specifically autism). My nephew is diagnosed with autism. He has never done half of the dumb shit Musk has done and has never done anything resembling a nazi salute.
Before we get into the entire Aspergers v Autism thing...how many people on the spectrum..with either..do you know who throw out nazi salutes? My dad is blessed enough to work with people with spectrum disorders and other disabilities...none of these people do these things. Simply shrugging our shoulders and saying "welp, he's "on the spectrum" infantilizes these people makes them not accountable for their actions. Musk is a grown adult, and regardless of what disorder he may have, can still be held accountable for the things he does. He also seems to have shown zero remorse for his actions , which is rather important.
That being said, I don't really "care" about Musk throwing the salute out..or whatever the hell he did. It looked horrendous...but Musk was a piece of shit before he did that...and continues to be one after it. It's immaterial to me on my judgment of him. My bigger issue is people not holding him accountable for it or trying to sanewash it.
The man is unquestionably smart,
He definitely is not.
Tesla is no longer than top EV company in the world by the way. They also no longer hold a majority of the share of the US Market.
Facts are he's in charge of the most efficient space company on the planet
"Space company" covers a lot of ground. So let's dig into this a bit. Is SpaceX the most efficient space exploration company on the planet? Maybe...but First off, we need to understand SpaceX relies heavily on public money subsidization for their projects. They also rely heavily on NASA engineers as well. SpaceX is "efficient" because they can and are using "competitor" resourcing.
Can SpaceX blast people into space at a higher rate than NASA? Currently, yes...but SpaceX and NASA also have different operating principles right now. NASA is chasing bigger fish in the R&D sector and concentrating on longer term projects with bigger picture scientific goals. NASA is happy to allow SpaceX to do the launches SpaceX does as it frees up NASA for more ambitious manned missions and deep space exploration. Too many people view this as a NASA vs SpaceX thing, it's really not. Musk will say stupid shit, as he did a day or two ago, but overall the two organizations have worked quite well together. If NASA wanted to be "more efficient" than SpaceX, they could be...they are directly responsible for SpaceX's efficiencies. It's not an adversarial thing though.
