Circling back to this, I remember being 15 watching the 2002 BC game. When Dillingham threw that fumble/pick 6 and we ended up losing that game. I took all my ND swag and piled it in a corner of my closet for like a week…until the next game.

That singular play/game will haunt me forever. Just above 2011 Michigan.

Fucking green jerseys man.
Reminds me of 2006 Bears Super Bowl loss. I was in college at the time and my roommate threw all of his Bears swag in the corner of his room. Then woke up his girlfriend while he was taking a piss on the pile and muttering to himself “Crown their asses! Crown them!”

Sports can be funny sometimes. Brighter days are upon us!

The "expert" picks and the line reflect the considerable talent gap, that's all. Of course, the late money came in against us vs. PSU, too, as I recall. We went from being favored to underdogs before kickoff.

There is a real chance there are zero 2025 first round picks on the field tonight. OSU isn’t a super team. If they win, they won’t be considered anything special talent wise in the echelon of recent champions

Go win the game

Idk they could have 15-17 guys drafted in the spring + sure fire top 15 pick underclassmen in Smith and Downs. They are very talented.

They are talented. There isn’t a supreme talent gap though and they are not really close to some of the unbeatable teams we’ve seen in the last decade. They are old more than elite, essentially a copy of Michigan from a year ago.

All it takes is one play to change a game… when’s the last time we had a Heisman favorite at running back on our roster?

Riley Mills? Ben Mo we have covered with good DBs
Yeah. If Love, Cross and Spindler are in good shape (substantial ifs), the only injury of major consequence at this point is Mills.
Yes we'd love to have BenMo and Botelho/Traore but we've gone a long time without them now and it has been fine. Knapp's too bad but Jagusah is probably more physically talented and played quite well against Penn State. That *might* be an upgrade.

Feels like we will need a big play by Love or Price, and one by the defense/ST. Both of those things are quite possible.

I'm in kind of a bizarro-world version of this.

We've won so many championships in New England that I'm almost numb to it. "The Celtics won again? That's nice." "The Patriots are the worst team in football? Who cares?" "The Bruins lost a playoff series in heartbreaking fashion? That's okay, because I still have an authentic Tim Thomas jersey from the Stanley Cup run when he stood on his head and then snubbed Obama for being a socialist." And the Red Sox went from cursed to four World Series in 15 seasons.

But this is the one I want. This is the only one left because I've gotten everything I've wanted from the rest of my teams and I don't need to see any of them win another title for the rest of my life. I feel like Thanos and I just need that one final stone to complete the Gauntlet.

Also yes, you're just a pussy.
I can remember a title for all my teams.
Sox, Celtics, Steelers, Bruins, North Carolina, and hell even ND womens basketball.
This is the one I can't remember.

I may not even remember tonight, but I already told my son tonight may be the 1st time ND makes my grandson cry like the Sox made me cry for the 1st time in 86.

But I'm confident he'll be crying when the cops show up for disorderly conduct and public exposure and not because Billy fucking Buckner let's a routine ground ball through his motherfucking legs.

Someone pour me up a double shot of whiskey
They know me and Jack Daniels got a history
There's a party downtown near Fifth Street
Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy

I resent so bad that this stupid fucking song is going to be engrained in my head forever if we win.
That's song *is* pretty catchy. But so is herpes.

Take care of the ball (no turnovers) and avoid dumb penalties (mental penalties).

I don't get the doom and gloom...in the past month we have beaten three (3) legit Top 10 teams. This isn't 2012 where we hadn't notched a top win since October.
There isn't much doom and gloom going on. I have never seen this much optimism on the IE boards before a big game.

watching gameday live right now and very few fans inside the stadium yet so you can't tell which fan base has more fans for the game
