Was said earlier in this thread, but all the most predictive advanced ranking systems have us as a ~2-4 pt underdog at most and essentially unaminously agree that we are the 2nd best team in the country.

We're essentially getting hit for another 4-6 points because of injuries I guess. Feels like a biiiiig gap considering how we played against UGA / PSU.
I don't think the line movements are really based off the model. These models have consistently liked ND more than the spread.

I suppose there are lots of low information people out there who bet based on brand names and reputations betting based on what happened in 2012, 2018, and 2020.

I went to work today wearing my awesome ND National Championships jacket. At least 3 people told me "Go Irish", and the workers at an account of mine, mind you that these are FSU fans in Tallahassee, were surprisingly confident that ND will win tonight. I'm not used to seeing FSU fans liking Notre Dame, but here we are.

Enjoy the ride my brother. I was able to witness 88 and it was glorious. Don’t waste energy being nervous. I feel like everyone is shitting on this team but there’s such a belief and culture inside the program that I feel is going to manifest tonight. OSU is tough, but our lads are battle tested and ready to roll. Now go to skyline for a couple of coneys and relax. It’s in gods hands now
Me as well. A Junior in college when I watched Holtz and the Boys beat the Mountaineers. This is a long time coming. I believe MF will have these young men ready for tonight.

2014 FSU for me.
Circling back to this, I remember being 15 watching the 2002 BC game. When Dillingham threw that fumble/pick 6 and we ended up losing that game. I took all my ND swag and piled it in a corner of my closet for like a week…until the next game.

That singular play/game will haunt me forever. Just above 2011 Michigan.

Fucking green jerseys man.

The Desmond Howard of OSU
Listening to him talk about how they didn’t miss a beat offensively when TX took J Smith away by bracketing him. Hey fuckstick, OSU only scored 21 on offense. The last 7 came from the D. He talks as if they put 48 up last week. And it goes unchallenged of course.

For those who are in Atlanta, what's the guess on turnout? 60-40 OSU? 50-50?

On another note, I’m already dreading having to listen to Herb and Fowler tonight. Fucking OSU and Condom guys. I’d love to have Brady Quinn and Rich Eisen do the broadcast. Eisen doesn’t love the Irish but he hates the Suckeyes.

Well, it's starting to sink in that I'll be watching from home. I never for a moment thought I wouldn't be at the game tonight, not a single second it crossed my mind that I may not get in. But 4 hours before kickoff and the ND side has under 50 tickets available and it's looking like 10k for 2. Totally bummed but doing my best not to let it ruin the day/night, why I didn't pull the trigger is beyond me. Being so close made me think I could get a steal day of....SMMFH

As much as I loathe the 12-team playoff, it's kind of poetic that the two teams in the final were the ones that hosted the primetime games in the first round. Whichever team wins will have those iconic images in their highlight reels for the rest of time.

My wife made plans to watch with some family friends of ours tonight. I like them and they are ND fans (on a very casual level) but I would really prefer to be at home so I don't have to self-regulate.
Yeah I’d ditch that and make it up to them later in spades.

Nice time zone for evening games, New Zealand? For me kick of is at 1.30 a.m. Would be nice to force myself to sleep for a couple of hours right now, not sure if it works. Day off tomorrow is golden. Go Irish! Fight on!
Newcastle Australia.
