Wearing dark colors to a stadium sucks. You know why Nebraska and Georgia looked so good at ND stadium? It's because bright red stands out and the conglomerate of Navy, green, blue, gray, white, etc that ND fans wear don't (absent Kelly green).

If you do a color theme for fans, ALWAYS go with the brightest color you have.

It's also going to be 20 degrees outside so nobody is going to coordinate colors. They're going to wear whatever color their heaviest coat happens to be.

Just win the damn game. Fans: cheer loudly. This isn’t a fashion show. At the end of the game, no one cares about uniforms. They’re for the players.

I think it's quite clear people do care about the uniforms, brand identity and tradition etc
There is a reason this forum is blue and gold, right?

I don't begrudge the players the occasional fun drip variety, but at the end of the day they do play for the University of Notre Dame and like you say, "this isn't a fashion show." I'm sure our players basically agree. If they have fashion ADD and absolutely need to wear a different uniform every week, they could have gone to Oregon or whatever.

At minimum the school colors shouldn't be screwed around with willy-nilly so some apparel company can hock some special edition merch.

Anyway, here's hoping all this aggro will be for not, and the special uniform with not be all that "special"
I want Notre Dame to win... and it's really not too much to ask that they look like Notre Dame when they do so.

There are a few uniforms I don’t like but calling it a disgrace is a bit much.

I am going to watch the game, hoop, hollar and cheer just like do every other time I get to watch the Irish.

You’re right and I apologize. I had to clean up a subordinate’s Q4 screwup (albeit, unintentional) and, within the Christmas spirit, I didn’t call him out to the carpet. When I got news of this, it was the cherry on top. I’m on record with my displeasure in the amount of alternate uniforms we’ve worn and this game, arguably the biggest in a decade, is not the time to roll out something “new and fresh”. We’re fortunate to have unique and iconic branding — we should willfully embrace it. I’ve spoken to a plethora of other school’s fans who frankly are jealous of our uniforms and branding. Yet, it’s like the past few years we’ve brazenly chosen to steer the ship another direction with the insane amount of alternate uniforms and piped in DJ music. It’s absurd.

The only things we've seen are the towel (yellow with blue printing), the cleats (black and gold), and the UnderArmour "Here Come the Irish" instagram post (black and green).

The black and gold cleats were actually released before the USC game, but I didn't see anyone wearing them during the game.

I forget where I saw it, maybe one of the ND Football Twitter accounts gameday posts, but they def had black and gold cleats in someone's locker before the USC game.

I’ve been waiting for an official black jersey with green numbers for awhile.
That said, probably not the best time to be busting them out. I get it, but I’ll hold the rest of my judgement until they’re revealed.

You know they will have the ND history behind each single design on the jersey, and yes, even the black. So they still try to appeal to the traditionalists with these things.
