So.. potentially dumb question. If Army or Navy got into the CFP, this game essentially doesn’t matter?

Only game to bet on Saturday. I feel like riding that army train from last week.

To the outside world, no, it doesn't. Something tells me neither will ever see the light of day in a 12 or even 16 team bracket.

To those guys on the field.... F*ck yeah, it matters.

Being a cfb fan I watch tons of games but there’s only two non ND games that I absolutely watch every year,… This and the egg bowl. Both have great vibes and both are typically special in terms of timing/scheduling too.

This is the biggest Army Navy game of my lifetime, pretty cool. I hope Navy plays well. As I do every year because of family ties and the ND tie,.. GO NAVY, BEAT ARMY

My daughter just did one of those Ancestory searches. For context, my brother and I both served together in Iraq- me in Cavalry and brother in MASH unit. Anyway a direct line back from my father: my Grandfather was infantry and wounded in WW2, Great Grandfather infantry WW1, a couple more back Grandfather was Infantry NY unit Civil War - back a few more generations Grandfather and his brother served in Revolutionary War, Rhode Island unit. She even found a picture of the unit roster from 1777 with both names written next to each other on it- How cool is that....... so my point is I'm a slight lean for Army.

It feels like most years one of these teams is good and the other is terrible, and its just an ugly game. This year it should be a great one. I am taking the over.

It seems to run in streaks.

After the 14 year run by Navy, Army is now on the better end as of late.

Pop-Pop was in the Big Red 1 in WWII.

One of my Mom's cousins graduated from West Point, as did the son of a different cousin.

One of my former track runners goes to West Point.

And, other than ND Stadium, there's no finer place to watch a game on a fall Saturday than West Point.
