Ryan Roberts hinted at a DT in the AAC that we have reached out to for the portal. He is supposedly massive, and will have one year of eligibility. To lazy to dig any guesses?

That's interesting, not sure who. One player I guarantee they'll be in on is Dontay Corleone from Cincy who Freeman recruited. 2nd Team All-Big 12 last year and PFF has named him as an All-American multiple times.

Physically massive or a massive pickup? Landon Robinson of Navy is a guy that the Irish Illustrated guys highlighted before we played them. But he’s 6’ 285.

ND should be elite on offense and defense for the next 2 years so much young talent I think we need 2 DT, 1 Corner, maybe a depth safety guy, and if look to take 1-2 WR’s

Maybe not, but coming back to get paid for one year in college then signing a rookie NFL deal would guarantee him one more year of pay from football, assuming there is some uncertainty if he'd get a second contract after his rookie deal expires.

Rasputin always assumed that was part of the motivation for Cross and Mills to return for one more season.

I like to give Driskell a lot of shit for being a tool, but his rant against the playoff committee is spot on. Good on him.

He essentially did a schedule and statistical comparison of Alabama and Miami, which I found fairly persuasive. I didn’t realize Alabama has TWO bad losses while Miami’s were fairly respectable. He was also strongly critical of the committee’s brand and SEC/BIG bias and zeroed in on the fact the the committee has for the second year in a row screwed the ACC in order to find a way to get Alabama in the playoff. Mostly, it was Driskell being good at the stuff he does well, namely being analytical and fired-up.

Tom Lemming on the II podcast the other day was pretty funny

BK: "A golfer, not a recruiter"

Also he cant believe ND does not get 5 star WR's and does not dominate getting recruits from the NJ, CA, MD catholic schools

I feel like we used to pull well from the Catholic schools prior to Kelly. We'd get kids like Sam Young from St. Thomas Aquinas where they develop great players. Maybe Freeman can re-establish those connections.

Mike Renner getting roasted and community noted on his tweet on justifying why Nick Nash of San Jose State didn't win the Biletnikoff. Just proves what we already know is the voters don't even watch the games or at least games from lower-level programs. His stats on the dude were completely incorrect too. By opening his mouth, he just showed how clueless he was. At least he helped get Nash and SJSU trending on twitXer.

Anyone know the deal with Fortuna? I know he was (is?) in the hospital. But he’s not been on the Independent for a month I believe and doesn’t sound like he will be next week either.

Just curious.
