ISD reporting Madden is still not locked in to OV to USC for the game this weekend (even though he plans to attend the game). Lol

What’s their analysis on why that is? Saving the OV to visit them later?

Nope. Reading between the lines: if he's already made plans to attend the game & is undecided, an OV makes sense (everything on SCs dime & likely some cash in hand). However if he does not OV, it's logical he's made a commitment (see: ND staff's general rule on committed prospects not making OVs to other programs).

I still like the Irish here with the assist from KVA. If NOB was seriously considering ND then I could see Sneed leaving.

If given the chance why wouldn't you want to be apart of this great defense?

I don't follow recruiting as much as some do on the board. But why would Sneed leave? He's playing. Producing. Why would he bounce if NOB committed? Again. I don't follow as some do.

He's been playing yes, but he's playing the least compared to the other four linebackers in the rotation. There is also the incident when he left the field vs. Louisville instead of celebrating with him teammates.

Sneed has a role, but the staff doesn't trust him enough in certain situations. His versatility is lacking.

It's a simple scenario where he could want more playing time that ND just can't promise him.

Also, a dude like Sneed, would be a big "free-agent" in the portal. Someone would likely offer him some really good money.

If Sneed keeps playing like he has the last 4 games he could decide to see how he goes in the draft.

Bad decision it would be. He’s not ready for the NFL. He has some traits but his film is limited and would likely be a practice squad guy. He’s got two years of eligibility left, he’s be wise to use at least one more year to enhance parts of his game and correct some of his fundamental mistakes.

I dont think it is a guarantee that Sneed leaves. I think it was trending that way mid-season... but clearly he is still bought in and has seen personal and team success as a result.
ND has shown that they will match NIL for their own guys and with Kiser not coming back, you have 4 experienced LBs for 3 spots. The talent level at LB is good, but the proven depth isnt.
I wouldnt be surprised if he left... but I wouldnt be surprised if he stayed either.

Mostly agree with you, Bored. The kicker imo is that he'll be a senior next year and probably realizes that he needs to start if he wants a viable shot at to be drafted.

Zinter and Kia (loved what he showed in the BG game) will also start challenging for a spot in the rotation, as could Faraimo if he joins the good guys.

ISD stated that the information they had received at the beginning of the week was that USC was pressing him to schedule an official visit which had not been confirmed.

They were told earlier this summer he didn’t have to take an official. But like they said it’s odd last game of the season and it your top two why wouldn’t you take an official visit?

IDK what else they can do. I'm sure everyone else is offering the house to high school kids.

However this dude has been close to the vest from the start idk how he's getting a feel for that unless he's got first hand account
