Love has scored in every game this season and the highest carries he has had was 16 vs UVA. Feed him more, Freeman is going to be tasked to take carries away from one of our RB's next season and I think Price will be the odd man out.

Keep the pipeline of Missouri RB's flowing with ND. Love has been fun to watch this season.

Price is a capable RB1 at about 95% of schools across P4. I think he knows this.

I'm sure he loves ND and Freeman and McCullough, but I expect him to make the best decision for his future and transfer out.

The guy who recruited him, Lance Taylor, would snatch him up. Price would absolutely run shit over in the MAC. But he can do better than Western Michigan.

I agree Price is definitely a P4 starter, but when you have someone like Love ahead of you, I think he does transfer out.

He definitely can do better than Western Michigan, somewhere like Purdue would be a good landing spot for him.

or Indiana. Cignetti will go hard in the portal, and is losing his two top backs (Ellison & Lawton).

I don’t think it is the best move for his future. He’s highly productive at ND and is doing plenty to catch the eyeballs of the NFL and will enter the league with lots of tread left on the tires. He should stay put and cruise into the combine next year and show off his elite traits. He could easily be a day 2 draft pick even if his snap count remains the same next year.

Which sucks because I think Price is a 1,000 yard back on 80% of the teams in college he’s gonna be a good NFL back

I think he’d be better off staying at ND one more year to share the workload, then going to the NFL

The RB position is devalued. Getting drafted is still a possibility, but with just seven carries a game. It becomes much more difficult. Especially when there is 50 capable RBs that could go rounds 5-7.

I'd love for him to stay and be drafted alongside Love after '25-'26 season because of the recruiting benefits from that, but guys that know they are #1 backs want the ball.

In my mind, I'm expecting him to transfer and go get 150-200 carries a year before heading off to the league.

There's an arguement to made though for showcasing talent without putting too much mileage on. Most RB's aren't getting paid until their 2nd contract now and they probably have one of the shortest shelf lives in the league.

Not to mention he’s already had a serious injury.

The NFL isn't going to evaluate an RB based on yards. He was boom or bust earlier this season but has become much more consistent in getting positive yardage. That's really the only thing he could work on with more experience but his measurables at the combine are going to be much more important than the number of carries he got in college

What is he, RS Soph but Junior academically? Knowing he's not a lock for the league, NIL will play a big role. Cross, Kiser, those guys are not locks, and they stayed to get a degree and some NIL granola. ND can play the same game with JP, get him cash and a degree, and he would still have options after next year.

I agree, Price definitely has that potential and can be a RB1; but next year is not that year. If he stays at ND with a reduced role that is a big win for ND. I think Love is the better back.

While carrying the ball as much as Riley Leonard and barely over 100 attempts. Get him 15-17 touches a game all season and were UNDEFEATED thus far.
I think the spreading of carries helps each of our backs (and RL) be more fresh at this point in the season. Our individual RBs have not taken nearly the same number of body blows as RBs at other programs.

This why I hope Price stays another year. He can continue to develop and showcase his talents without putting as much stress on his body, especially after suffering a serious injury. It benefits all the RBs wanting to stay fresh for a shot in the NFL.
